Kraut Guy
Uploaded the patch and installed but it seems that the TCP/IP support does not work. I use Compuserve as an internet provider. When I run WINIPCFG the IP Configuration says PPP with ip address 0.0.0.0. Any suggestions?
TwoSheds
The "PPP Adapter" you see is a drop down list box, click on it and choose a different Adapter. Sorry can't say which one is the right one if you got more than 2, but definately ignore the 0.0.0.0 Adapter
Kraut Guy
Tried all of the settings and nothing seems to make a difference. Any other suggestions.
TwoSheds
Changing the dropdown list doesn't "change" your IP settings. ALL items in the list are active IP stacks. BUT one of them is your IP address to the Internet. hope this helps...

Phoenix
When you try to host a game what does CM tell you your IP is?
Kraut Guy
Thats great but when I switch to the AOL or AMD adapter the CM TCP/IP button does nothing. Does not even open or proceed to the next option. I am certain that other peaple are having this same problem.
BFCElvis
Here is what I did last night. I am not sure if this is what finally made it work but try it. I am on AOL sometimes and I think it is the same as newer versions of CS. run-winipcfg click the dropdown menu to see "aol adapter" (maybe it says compuserve adapter I don't know). write the number down and switch it back to "ppp adapter" and give your opponant the number. Current versions of CS look just like AOL so I am guessing that will work. Let me know if it works. ------------------ What do we do with a terrible liar? Well, Great liars we send into the clergy. Good liars we groom for politics. Moderate liars we supply with sherrif's badges and guns, and the bad liars, well, we make them heroin whores. So what the hell do we do with the Terrible Liars? Well, it seems we turn them into physicists called "chrisl." Peng
