Crender
Hello All I was hoping someone can help me with info on how to make or alter geometic icons like those produced by Juju and Vin without wrecking the alpha channel and thus making the entire black area visible. I have some limited knowledge of paint.net and gimp. I am hoping to update the sets to include all the dlc's. Any advice appreciated.

You can use Greenfish Icon editor, you can save in bmp and keep your alpha channel ! ... import or drag and drop your icons, delete the part that you want to see, save it in bmp format !

Great advice, and Greenfish is exactly what I ended up using. To add further, since maybe it can save someone the time... at first I was doing all my editing in GIMP, exporting, and then importing and saving through Greenfish. I've now accepted, though, that it's much faster to just do all the editing in Greenfish, even if you have to adjust to the new workflow and keyboard shortcuts and all. It's become so easy to edit those floating icons, actually, that now I'm spoiled and never quite happy with what I've got, so... yeah, always scheming re: my next changes...

Happy to help ! >I use paint and gimp in duo, for the fluidity of one for the speed of the other, but when I have to import a bmp file I only trust Greenfish, I have already had surprises with gimp using the wrong bit format, and with paint it is simply impossible. but I like all three software.
