TacAI changes with the patch, hidden squads fire much earlier?

It used to be using the hide command (v1.05) , a squad would hide until someone came VERY close (40m worst case, usually around 25m).. with v1.1 (regular) hiding squads are firing at 200m+ , any reasoning as to why the change?

Dunno, but in a game a played today, an MG42 HMG opened up a lot earlier than I would've liked and sort of screwed up my ambush. I still managed to win though, which makes me wonder about the AI in general. With 1 platoon of motorized infantry, 4 antitank teams, 2 HMGs, 3 light armored cars, and some strategicly placed barbed wire I was able to take out 3 light tanks, 3 assault howitzers, 3 recon cars, 4 mortars, and 120 odd infantry. I had 13 casualties.

I don't know about hidden squads, but now hunting buttoned tanks ignore anything that does not sport better than an MMG. Whitman rank smack into a bren carrier last night. . .
