  1. I just downloaded it! Thanks, Peter [ 01-20-2002: Message edited by: Raze ]</p>
  2. Thanks Captain Foobar! I got It!
  3. Can anyone out there do a mod for the allies "out of bullets" yell. I was thinking it be very cool to use the M1 ejecting its clip after expending its rounds. The "tink" sound. With Band of brothers currently showing, can someone capture this? Just an idea.
  4. IIRC the mod was for terrain for Laptops and the like. I hope that helps.
  5. Thank you for your responses. Not having served, I can't relate to the accuracy in CM (but I do appreciate it). I have felt regret in watching a routed infantry squad flee into my perfectly timed artillery barrage. I don't remember a game that caused me to say out load "don't rush that" house! Knowing that I have a SMG squad and an MG in hiding. I guess that, in a way, that is a good thing.
  6. Although I guess you could go without sleep a shower or a decent meal, just for old times sake.
  7. I'm not a Vet (dad talked me out of the Marines. Twice ). As a Veteran, I wanted to know how you felt about playing CM. I very much enjoy CM, but I didn't live it. If you don't mind sharing, what are your thoughts on the game? Thank you for your time and sacrifice.
  8. I hate to say this (I really do) but there is NO difference between napster doing games and doing music. Both are creations that involved a lot sweat, blood, money and ambition. Both are the property of their respective creators and both should be protected from being ripped off for the sake of providing free entertainment to those who would take it for free! I'm sorry but I don't subscribe to Napster or their practices. I've purchased two CM's to insure the future success of Battle Front. For those of you who DL your music but now feel (because it could hurt YOU) that its "wrong" for Napster to get into games, I suggest you take a LONG look in the mirror and take a good look at what you've created. . . ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  9. Geez Tiger. I don't post very often, but those are truly beautiful. I collect mods (even the crappy ones) and I've watched your talent improve with every Mod. GREAT WORK! ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  10. So I've got a 20mm flak gun sitting about 5 meters behind a house. About 300 meters away a vehicle is spotted by the gun. It shoots and hits the edge of the building. Again. And again. EVERY shot hit the building until the inevitable happened-it blew up. Now in full LOS of the vehicle, it is promptly destroyed. Must have been a far sighted gunner. . . ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  11. "I think most of it begins as good natured jesting". That is EXACTLY what my intention was. (Actually my friends joke while I was playing so I'd thought I'd post it). I thought it was funny. I even threw a smiley so people would understand the context. My apologies to anyone who was hurt or offended by the 30 posts afterward. I guess that its possible that any attempt at humor can go awry.... ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  12. In several games now, I've tried to play as the french but they keep surrendering before I can play. Bug or just as it should be? ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  13. Definitely possible. Most allied vehicles used gasoline, which as you hopefully know, doesn't like sparks or flames. The kind of sparks that you get when shoot machine guns into HTs. ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  14. Hey jshandorf. I've seen it before (and other extended reloading times as well). I don't know what to tell you though. Maybe there is a code to simulate hesistation or sum such thing. Kinda like "Shocked" for AFV's. I share your pain ("You suck!! I hope you die bazooka team"). . . LOL ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  15. Are you guys seeing this? 1). Mortars firing at a stationary target much less accurate then a moving target, 2). HQ directed fire targets a unit when aimed, but continues to fire (area effect) when target is destroyed, 3). Mortars average three rounds to destroy a vehicle (even when moving-see #1). ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  16. Yeah, I've had this problem before. Its not related to the mod. Its the game. Use a closer view to adjust your infantry and you won't have this problem. ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  17. Thanks for taking one for the team Matt! And thank you Charles for fixing your blunder that Matt had pointed out ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  18. Look at a free-thrower in basketball. First shot is short, adjust and throw again. AND MISS! It happens in the NBA. I'm quite certain it happened on the battlefield. My observations indicate that the 3rd shot is the charm (not always but usually). Just lost a 150mm field piece to a M10 this way. First shot long. Second shot a little closer. Third-BOOM. ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  19. The British had tanks? Oh yeah-the sherman ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  20. You know, as a kid, I actually toke off my closet doors and painted them to match the map that came with GEV and Ogre just so the miniatures would be that much cooler. As you can imagine, maybe better left as just an idea. . . ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  21. A genius. Nay I say. A madman. Twisted and evil. Bad the bone. OK. A genius. Gotta love him. ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  22. Gosh. All this time I thought those chains were for detonating mines . ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  23. Keep in mind that a units ability to remain hidden is dependant on their experience and that of their HQ. ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  24. I liked the idea, the addition of "underbrush" is very cool. But the images are to "blocky" for me. Maybe at a higher Res they wouldn't be so pixelated. Keep up the work though- even Tiger had to start somewhere. ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
  25. There was a limited edition of Girlfriend v4.5 that would automatically upgrade itself to wife v1.0. But this particular version included a shareware version of MSMoney as well as a couple of other useful utilities. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that this release cannot be uninstalled, and can only be gotten rid of by deleting (which can cause any number of nasty items to occur including incarceration 25.0+)! ------------------ "The art of fighting without fighting..."
