ncc1701e
Just one question, is there a possibility to put the MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun on map? Reading few articles, it seems that the MT-12 Rapira gun can be towed by MT-LB or MT-LBM and can be used for direct fire. So far, looks like it can only bring indirect fire in the game.
domfluff
MT-12 is in-game, yes. It's only in service in the direct fire AT role for the Ukranians though. There are actually two variants - the MT-12 and the MT-12K, the latter of which can fire ATGMS. ncc1701e
Indeed, only the Ukrainians can have them on map. But, for a Russian Anti-tank Battalion, the MT-12 are only off map. Any particular reason? A Russian doctrine behind?

I will report.
domfluff
The manual has them only for Ukranian forces (as per reality, for the most part), which presumably means that the Russian formation for them shouldn't exist.

But indeed Russian brigades have MT-12. You also can see in manual, that 2S1 howitzer is available only for Russians, but you can take it and for Ukrainians too. When we wrote TO&E for the game in 2012, 2S1 really were moved out to reserve from Ukrainan brigades and we threw out them. But when the game was issued, 2S1 turned back IRL, so in some of first patches they were included again for Ukraine, but manual remained old )
HUSKER2142
@domfluff @Haiduk The MT-12 "Rapira" cannon remained in the units of Northern Fleet and in some motorizedrifle ( mountain-assault) units. But 2S1 self-propelled guns are being withdrawn gradually and left in similar units in the same way.
domfluff
Yup. My understanding was that it's not likely that the Russian army would use MT-12s in a direct fire role in a scenario like CMBS presents. They'll still exist, sure, but then lots of things still exist that I imagine they wouldn't deploy to the front if they could help it.

Yes, they will be used as conventional artillery, or in defense in difficult terrain.
