Bulletpoint
I like to play on medium sized quick battle maps, but I've noticed they vary a lot in size. This is because it's up to the map maker to classify the size of the map. Instead, it could be nice to make the game simply label the maps based on their actual dimensions. Length x width = area = size.

Yep, but I like having the game choose a random map with no preview, so both players don't know exactly what they are getting into (to prevent excessive cherry picking of forces to fit the exact situation)

Turn map selection to automatic ... You'll be surprised.. How much is a tiny map small? How much is a big map big in CM? Ales Dvorak
Or you can relabel ( tiny, medium ,big) maps in scenario editor by your own choice, by your own standards.
