Sven
I have only played the demo, so there probably is an answer in the real manual, but what's the difference between target and target wide when spotting for arty?
pathfinder1
pretty much what the name infers. target wide the artillery rounds are spread apart to cover a wider area or say to put rounds down a road or treeline ------------------ this is pathfinder's evil twin
WSCFan
One caution. Target Wide is *really* wide. Be sure you aren't anywhere near. Especially in the first few salvos.
Shooter
Absolutely right. I used the target wide command with hopes of keeping the advancing infantry's heads down. Incoming rounds fell short and kept mine down also. I suffered more casualties than the enemy! If you've got a lot of ammo, target wide will let you lay down enough hits to force green troops to move from foxholes, etc. Good way to recon those woods also!
