John Kettler
Anyone with any interest at all in US military strategy in the Middle East and the various matters related thereto ought, methinks, to read this cogent and outstanding analysis by the Army's Major Danny Sjursen of why what we're doing there isn't working, has gotten worse and, given recent trends bodes, nothing good. He assesses the current approach as being so bad that a deliberate intention to fail may be at work, given the disastrous strategy being used and indicators of a path to far less optimal results in the next round. Don’t want to lose the Next Mideast War? Don’t Fight One Danny Sjursen Apr. 19, 2017 | https://www.juancole.com/2017/04/dont-mideast-fight.html Regards, John Kettler
LongLeftFlank
Cogent, John? This is a bog standard polemic better suited to ZeroHedge or the (borderline treasonous) Moon of Alabama blog. It states no 'whys', no framework for how we got here or what to do better, only barroom moralizing and generalities.
