billcarey
I am PBEMing someone, and on one of the turns, I saw to my shock and horror probably 25 or 30 sound contacts, flying around the map at what looks like 100 mi/h. They were all tank contacts, and in a turn they coalesced into one. Is this a bug or my units being scared and stupid and thinking they hear 20 tanks flying around? - Bill
Fionn
That's a bug which I think has been fixed. I've never seen it but someone else reported it a while back I think. ------------------ ___________ Fionn Kelly Manager of Historical Research, The Gamers Net - Gaming for Gamers
billcarey
Thanks Fionn, It had me worried until I figured out what it was! Then it wasn't so much of a problem. PBEM Games can go very slow... - Bill

Guest L Tankersley
Yeah, I had seen this when I first started PBEM, usually but not always with tanks. Oddly I've never noticed it in play against the AI. My guess is that sound contacts are depicted somewhere more-or-less along the line of bearing from the unit hearing them to the contact, and when multiple units can hear the target (but none can see it), it bops all around the map.
