Got windows 8.1, had some installation problems, got it installed, and then all of a sudden, it would start to freeze. It happens when I click on a unit, usually to reinforce, but sometimes to move. Whole thing freezes, need to go to task manager to shut it down and start it up again, losing whatever place I was at. It might be five minutes of play before the next freeze, might be 10, no pattern I can see other than it happens when I click on a unit (and maybe once when I was in production). Never happened before the new install, love for it to never happen again. I have windows 8.1, 64 bit, intel integrated (pretty sure its 4400) graphics. any idea? Need any more info? uberjuden Posted December 30, 2014 Author Share Posted December 30, 2014 posted a new ticket, but something just occurred to me--I used to have a 32 bit computer, and got the game for that; now I have a 64 bit system. Hubert Cater Posted February 12, 2015 Share Posted February 12, 2015 Your best bet is to try the following: 1) Download and apply the latest patch 2) Turn off FULL SCREEN by going into the SETTINGS screen from the MAIN MENU in game and deselecting this option 3) Launch the game as an Administrator by right clicking the game shortcut or game EXE and selecting Run as Administrator.
