Lt Bull
Hello I just watched a replay of a PBEM I am playing and witnessed a main gun shell from a Sherman clearly pass straight through a MarderIIIM (front to back), killing the driver but not registering any kind of hit/penetration. Short of providing the visual replay (evidence) of this, might this seem to be some kind of bug or some wild extreme abstraction kinda gone wrong? I have never seen this before. A Canadian Cat
Yeah if the shell did go through and kill the driver with no penetration notice then yeah it would be a bug. A couple of things to check first: Was hit text display on (alt-H)? If so did the round really go in and cause the driver's death directly? What I mean by that is the Marder has an open top so other shrapnel bullets could have done it. Even a near miss from the Sherman shell could have. So, for example this could have happened. The Sherman round missed underneath the Marder (I have seen this before when the shot is low a round can go "between the legs") and explode behind the Marder and the shrapnel from that explosion killed the driver. If you have a look and find that the round really hit and the hit texts is on and you see no notice and there is nothing else going on that could have killed the driver then you could have a bug. Let us know what you find.
womble
I have seen something similar with SdKfz 251/1s with MGs attacking them. Drivers killed with no "hit text".

DougPhresh
A little late to the party but the Marder II driver has his legs poking out under the vehicle and appears to be seated in the transmission, would that make a difference?
