kevinkin
I have a test battle and the AI faces 180 to the next ordered objective to there rear. This exposes them to more effective fire. Is there a way to stop this "about face" until the clock ticks down says to "move out"? Thanks Kevin
weta_nz
Hi, I have had some success with moving past the objective then moving them up to the objective from the direction you want them to face (if that makes sense). It means an extra order and associated time delay but as there is no facing 'order' it is about the only thing to do. cheers
kevinkin
I got that idea to work - thanks. Here is the small test script for 4 tigers. Set up 0,1 Order 2 4, 430 Order 3 4, 5 Order 4 also a exit object directly to the rear of the tigers. They keep facing on # 2 move to # 3 and turn around right away and head to 4 where they exit. To hold facing on #2 longer Set up 0,1 Order 2 10, 1030 Order 3 10, 1030 Order 4 Exit Looks like Order 3 should be one row of map squares ahead of Order 2. There might be better numbers but so far so good. Kevin Kevin
Combatintman
Yep weta nz's solution should work 9 times out of 10 - I would also check how you've set your Allied and Axis friendly directions in the 'Data' screen in the mission editor as this may have an influence on facing.
