Oddball_E8
I've noticed that sometimes (maby all the time, I haven't kept track) my tanks won't rotate to face a target between shots. IIRC they did it in CMBN and CMFI, but it seems something has changed. I made a video of it today (SPOILERS FOR THE MISSION ANGRIFF!!!!). Notice how the panther tank with its side to the target is only turning the turret? It doesn't start turning its hull until after it loses its target.
A co
Perhaps that is because the rotation of the hull would spoil the gunner's aim?
Michael Emrys
Perhaps that is because the rotation of the hull would spoil the gunner's aim? Indeed. There does seem to be a change, at least I have noticed several times what Oddball describes, and it was asked for...repeatedly. But I have also observed some slight persistence of the old behavior in that after firing a shot, while the cannon is being reloaded, the hull will rotate towards to the target some, then stop to allow the gun to be trained. Another shot, and then a little more rotation. This seems near ideal, especially as so far I have only seen hull rotation towards targets that could pose a real threat of getting a penetrating hit. Harmless targets, such as rifle-armed infantry, don't seem to trigger rotation. But anyway, this is all on just a brief acquaintance. Greater familiarity might reveal other behaviors. A Canadian Cat
I am noticing a change too and keep meaning to actually test it - still have not done it though.
Vanir Ausf B
Greater familiarity might reveal other behaviors. Or it may bread more contempt. There definitely seems to be a change, but it is hard to pin down what it is.
Jim1954
Was that Panther hull down to it's target?
Oddball_E8
Was that Panther hull down to it's target? No idea, but I doubt it.
Michael Emrys
Or it may bread more contempt. Is breading contempt like breading shrimp or a pork chop? Michael
Vanir Ausf B
It's bitter if eaten plain.
