Erwin
Many of us run CM1 on Win 7. I think you simply install and it will run.
Blazing 88's
Hi Folks, Just updated to Win7 Ultimate on a 6 year old system. Cheers... chris A few tips... Don't install into the "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)" folders on your HD. Best to have a 'Game' folder created and run any games from there. After spending hours gathering and installing any scenarios/mods, make a backup of the game(s) on a external drive for safe keeping. Check this post out that I posted a few weeks ago for more CM goodness: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showpost.php?p=1506381&postcount=8 You may not need to install CMBO as CMAK has a mod (provided in my link) that covers the CMBO time period (CMETO). I find CMBO very dated in comparison. I would invest in CMBB if you haven't already worth the investment even over tens years later. Can you get more RAM on that rig? Or is 1GB a typo?
stuka_man
CMBB and CMAK installed as normal with out any problems and are running fine. 1 GB RAM is no typo. Plan to add more soon. 1 GB has served me well. Ran IL-2 1946, the whole CM1 series, and Silent hunter3 with the Gray wolves expansion pack gold for years under XP Pro SP3 on this rig for years, with no prolems. Computers, cars, and relationships have one thing in common: If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
