bob.
The question may be a bit misleading, so let me explain: when I install Breakthrough, I was first wondering because it creates a completely separate game folder? I thought it was an add-on for SCWW2 and not a new game? And I also see that the old scenarios from SCWW2 are not in breakthrough - aren't there general improvements in Breakthrough that I then don't have in these campaigns? Hubert Cater
Hi Bob, Breakthrough is indeed an updated package or expansion and has its own set of campaigns as well as the new features outlined in the Expansion Notes PDF file found with the installation under Manuals. To clarify, it is an expansion over the SC WWI release but I suspect this is what you probably meant. However, it is also an add-on in some sense as it does require some files from the base WWI game and would not otherwise play on its own... but campaign wise the new campaigns that come with Breakthrough only play under Breakthrough and vice versa. I hope this helps, Hubert
bob.
I see, I thought maybe I was supposed to install to the SCWW1 directory instead of a new one to include the old campaigns, so I wanted to clarify that.
Bill101
1914 Call to Arms, and (if you download the first patch) 1939 Storm over Europe have been updated for Breakthrough, using the Breakthrough exe rather than the SC WWI one.
