Frankster65
Wow...that was a big difference in sound between MG34 and MG42. That MP40 certainly was distinctive as well.
dieseltaylor
Infantry Weapons and Their Effects 1943 Part 1 of 2 Infantry Weapons and their Effects 1943 Part 2 of 2 I can see where BF got their ideas of shooting through walls and other effects. The films seem to err on the side of optimism. I was impressed by the 105mm blowing away roadblocks 4 ft thick and wondering why it was not used in the bocage - perhaps 10 shells per breach ..... or possibly the roadblock destroyed was quite lightweight in comparison. Anyway very interesting as to effects.
c3k
Cease... * * * * * * * ...Fire. That is one well-trained LT. Excellent use of the pause between the preparation and execution. Nice links to the footage. (Nice sounds!) Thanks. Ken
BadgerDog
Infantry Weapons and their Effects (WWII and Korean era U.S. Training Films) "Infantry Weapons and Their Effects" is an official WWII era training film which demonstrates the use of standard issue U.S. infantry weapons and their effects on various targets. This is a really interesting and unusual video. See rifles, pistols & heavy machine guns shoot into & through steel German helmets, concrete walls, 12 inch tree trunks, & more. Part 2 was produced in 1953 and focuses on U.S. PISTOL CALIBER .45, SUBMACHINE GUN CALIBER .45, U.S. CARBINE, CALIBER .30. Abrams
Just returning to CMBN and was wondering ... has this ever been fixed in a sound mod ? I'll saw my MG42 gunner has extreme trigger control , 2 shot bursts .. and even sounds as though he's able to lower the rate of fire ... I wish our Mg 42's in the game sounded like this........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxDauR7REPw
