Sorry to hear this OPO. Your CW tourney was the most fun I’ve ever had in CM. We have been trying to get shady’s CMCW fixed since December! We have spent hours troubleshooting and scouring his drive for conflicts and reinstalling CMCW. BFC Elvis has been helping him lately and I’m in for an update here.

I was mistaken when I sent that message. I am starting to think you are just a troll. you use a helper program and it interfered with the files. It took a while to figure out. I think we know the answer now as I got one of your PBEM files. again, I don’t believe you did this on purpose or cheated. I’m not accusing you of anything unethical. OTOH, you have shaded me here and I don’t appreciate it.

I did have to re-do US turn 4 multiple times to actually get it to upload. You said something about getting one of my PBEM turns. But this was the side of the mirror that worked and that we could have actually played. We played this game to turn 49.

You don’t understand well. I never successfully opened or saw this turn as it was passworded with your PBEM opponents password.

Please answer the question regarding whether or not you use a helper ? the problem is almost certainly the result of your helper program interfering with slitherine as your file was uploaded from your hard drive to slitherine and then offered to me as my turn.

I never got a warning! I never successfully opened turn 4 be a cause you sent me a file named player b vs Cargol 053’. So inspector cargol, please explain how I could have transmitted your PBEM file to slitherine ?

I don’t think you cheated either. But you had a helper program and that will end up being the issue.

I hope you are equally upset about the 14005 points you received in the same game ?! in the game we could play, I believe we finished on turn 49 and your pace slowed to one turn every two days as my score went up. So, thanks for that.

@BFCElvis can anyone assist us or is there no fix for this? the exact problem is that slitherine sent me Soviet turn 4 that is actually a PBEM file from another non-tournament game my oppo is playing. He was awarded 17005 points and I was awarded 6520 presumably based on the score in that game. I put a ticket in with slitherine on Sunday evening. no response Thank you

There is no word from the slitherine ticket system and no help from battlefront on this issue. i doesn't look like there will be a fix.

Poor Kilroy and Player B are having their names taken in vain and they are not even in the tourney !! For some reason, the slitherine system is sending non slitherine files in our games.

It was turn 09 but exactly yes. I saved the turn for the PBEM and it disappeared. I had to redo that turn in the PBEM.

If I try to play the turn, it leaves a file ‘player b vs cargol 053’ in my inbox.

The point differential is probably because I can’t deploy my Soviets and the game is frozen at turn 4. It looks like they awarded cargol points for all my units. again, the turn requires a password and I did not set one per instructions. Is there an official reporting system for these things ? I guess I will just play the US side of this…

I somehow have 6520 points in round 2 on the slitherine scorebord ? I’ve played 1 minute of one match and have not fired my weapons. Something is not right here.

Cargol and I have some issues. 1. Slitherine sent him a PBEM file from a non tournament game for my US turn 5 I think. It was my second actual minute. I have turn 4 in my slitherine box now. I guess I can re-play it ? Weird. 2. My Russian Turn is on Turn 3 and has a password and I have yet to play a Russian turn nor did I set a password. I also have my timed out round 1 files in my box. I timed out as advised per this thread. I am traveling and this resort has internet that is a little spotty and I keep losing connection. My normal PBEM games are all working fine.

The MRB and FSE are in the formation editor. I’m curious in CM terms, what formation is recommended for use as a the recon echelon ?
