That Hopefully the shelved DLC might be rerouted to Shock Force to add Russia as a faction there, but as for CMBS... I don't think it's fair to say that it's dead, but it's certainly in a coma.

Man this would actually be amazing! A plausible setting without media drama.

I'm happy to see more Cold War footage. But let's save our hype until we know they're getting close (wouldn't want the hype to burn out). All Steve revealed in the 2024 year to come thread is that they're well under way and we can expect some bones soon. Which could, but does not necessarily, mean that they're getting close.

Dw, the hype will be sustained. They are taking longer because they are adding more stuff and making sure it's going to be a banger. Mark my words.

I used to be a big modern CM player but I'm firmly in the WW2 camp now.

Modern games exacerbate all the weaknesses of the engine. I think most people will agree the biggest issues in the game are aircraft(control is very basic and you either shoot them down easily or it's an enemy that you have no control over and completely random), vehicle spotting (T-62's in Cold War especially are crewed by Stevie Wonder) and artillery interaction with tanks (there's a bug where subsystems can't be damaged on tanks.

Modern modules all have more airpower, more tanks and more subsystems.

Until these issues are fixed (when hell freezes over) I'll stick to T-34's and Tigers.

    Not bugs, features!

Thanks BFC for organizing these tournaments. I really enjoyed all the games save one. I hope you learned a lot of lessons you can roll into future tourneys.
Since no-shows are just a way of life with projects like this, may I suggest one thing?  Make the first scenario worth the fewest number of points and the last scenario the most. Kinda like some game shows. This way you cull out the no-shows with the fewest number of points at steak. Maybe use somethin’ like ~1000-2000-3000 points for the 1st-2nd-3rd games.
     Looking forward to more tourneys!

    +1 for that.

Also I wonder if anything can be done against people who surrender at the beginning and in turn give an insane amount of points to the other player without fighting at all. Kinda skews the leaderboard.

I "played" only in the RT one if one can call that played. My first 2 oponents never showed up and my third one left after a few turns when i started to get my t34s into his backfield while his attack bogged down at the starting line.

Sad, but I guess it's to be expected that some players without ethics will do that in a public tourney...

    If atleast he had surrendered...
