  1. A question about this mod. If I should have the file "bush-1-bb [snow]" from this pack and would add another file which has the name "bush-1-bb [snow] (2)" to be able to have the original snowy trees file and another similar one made by someone else, how does the game react to that? Does it load both files and use them on different parts of the scenario map or does it use only one of the files?

  2. I also understood from what MOS:96B2P wrote in another thread, that I can use a Z folder inside the User Data\Mods folder for mods I want to be loaded last. So I have most mods in the Mods folder and some in the Mods\Z folder to avoid mod conflicts between mods of the same kind but ftom different modders.

So the mods in the Z folder will be the ones to show up if there is a conflict with a mod in the mods folder.  I use the Z folder when I have multiple mods for the same thing and I want to make sure a certain mod will be used in a game.

I already have a few mods of the same German and American tank from different modders. So this info is good to know for future use when I have looked through the mods and decided which ones I want to try out first. I'm on my annual leave in two days and will soon start getting to know CMFB a little bit more than the demo allowed me to.

Inside of the mod folder you can create an additional folder and name it Z Folder.

What's the good thing in having a Z folder inside User Data\Mods? Are mods in that Z folder loaded later than the ones in the Mods folder or do you mean that you don't have any mods in the Mods folder but put them in the Mods\Z folder instead?

<whatever your path is>\Documents\Battlefront\Combat Mission\Final Blitzkrieg\User Data\Mods is the current expected place for you to put mods.

If I put mods in \User Data\Mods and have mods that are similar to each other, can I still use the method of adding a couple of z in front of them to get the load order right or should I use another method?

  6. First there was Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy, then there was Combat Mission: Red Thunder and now there is Combat Mission: Final Blitzkrieg. I think that Both CMBN and CMRT combined contain most of the opponents fighting each other in Europe during the Second World War. In the Combat Mission: Final Blitzkrieg base game there is only US Army, German Heer, German Luftwaffe, and German Waffen-SS present. I sure hope there will come an addon, or addons, to the Final Blitzkrieg which makes all the other armies present too?

There was of course also Combat Mission: Fortress Italy. But as the Italians had surrendered by the time of CMFB that game isn't included above.

I've only played the demo to Final Blitzkrieg and will soon play the demos for the other three WWII games. But I already feel that if there will be an addon, or addons, to Final Blitzkrieg, which gives the buyers of the game access to the major armies, there will be opportunities to make custom made scenarios similar to the most interesting and fun scenarios from CMBN, CMFI and CMRT.

  7. Line of sight in general can be a bit stupid sometimes.

I played the second battle in the demo for Final Blitzkrieg, but did it for the Germans, and had a Sherman outside one of the houses about 10 meters away. The German soldier inside the house couldn't see the tank unless he went up on the second floor. There was nothing blocking the line of sight between him and the tank when he was on the ground floor.

Another situation was a German with a panzerschreck using the slow movement command and crawling towards an American halftrack to knock it out. Although he was about 5 meters away from it he couldn't see it properly but had to stand up and start walking normaly before he could shoot at it.
