CM:SF is an alternate reality, that was conceived during the "War on Terror". In 2008, Syrian terror cells explode nuclear "dirty bombs" in Western cities. The Manual says that there was very little opposition in the UN, to a Coalition invasion of Syria. Russian topographic maps show up in the British campaign, possibly implying solidarity (if not outright support).
A RF campaign supporting Assad would conflict with the lore, and would retcon all the campaigns. I think they could include an RF faction on the side of NATO -- an alternate reality pro-west Russia (this would be conceivable during 2002). Although, that'd be "too weird", considering the events that play out in our reality.
I am not sure if the Georgian War occurred in CM:SF's reality. Obviously, the RF OOB would be much closer to that than 2010's RF in Syria. Maybe a conflict with Turkey over Kurdish regions or naval bases? Set after the SF campaigns?
Good point. I was more interested in a sandbox type of thing without changing the main stories for each nation. But, I understand what you mean. Thank you for sharing your thought.

The weapons and radio look a bit "just out of the Amazon box" however...
I did nothing to weapons just yet. If I will have time I will mod them.

I know that the concept of this game relates late 2000s. And I know it is about Western action against Syrian tyranic regime. But for the sake of the game it would good to add one more module.
Adding Russia to this game would bring a new challenge - a new life to the game.
It would give opportunity to simulate battles between NATO, US and Russia. It would be more up to date and I think that this would lead to more copies being sold.
This game is already huge and at this point adding one module would not hurt (in my opinion). Just think about all those missions, and campaigns that will be created by the community.
I don't think that the development team would need to work on anything - they could simply port some (not all) units from the CMBS.
It would give us all a chance to simulate clashes of a different level.
What do you thing @Bootie @Erwin @Battlefront.com?
P.S. Do not get me wrong - I am NOT supporting russian involvement in Syria. All I'm saying is that it would add some spiciness for the OPFOR side and it would be a nice for the sake of battles.
Again - I'm not supporting russian actions in Syria as well as I'm strongly against tyrannic regime of bashar assad (not going to waste a capital letters for his name).
So I guess my question is - is this possible in theory to see another module for this game since it is one of the biggest games in CM history. Thank you.
P.S. P.S. All the photos that I've provided here as visualization are provided for supporting the idea that I've described here. I'm not charmed or excited by any of those images. Those are visualizations and I'm NOT supporting actions of russia and its puppets in Syria.
P.S. P.S. P.S. In case if Russia as an idea would not work - would the development team consider adding Iran (due to recent escalations) as an alternative? Why? To have more advanced and more challenging enemy to confront while fighting on blue side against red side.
Thank you for your time, comments and thoughts gentlemen.

The reason why I'm giving so much attention towards tablet textures is following:
Digital tools in hands of an infantry becomes a trend. A good trend in my opinion. So far CM games implemented several elements of a multi-domain battle: radio electric warfare, drones, cooperation between forward observers and high precision strikes into its gameplay.
This is how military computers/tablets being tested/used within the US Marine Corps:

Thats why I gave attention to small details in radios, pda's etc. Enjoy your day everyone and stay safe!

CMSF2 : USMC Infantry by Oleksandr
This mod will provide you with retextured United States Marine Corps.
This mod will provide you with USMC wearing dusty MARPAT.
This mod includes new PDA based on MARCORYSCOM tablet technology that is created to remove the "fog of war" on a Multi-Domain Battles.
As you can see - new tablet has new textures different from those that being used by Army units (this mod will not conflict with any other mods of mine).
Tablet includes a texture of a central part of Aleppo.
No patches added on units - it is authentic measure - most of the times - marines do not wear patches today. I might be wrong about all units but most of the time I was looking at our Marines - they were patchless.
Skinds and gear are planned to be modded in the future.

The Germans are a very orderly people, they like uniformity and neat categories. That's why the units in this screenshot are part of a regiment entirely composed of kebab shop workers.

Working on some alternative history mod.
I've noticed that a lot of equipment in SF2 would fit cold war era.
Using my spare time to play around with some models.
BMP pack is almost ready but them infantry models will take time.
I have a plan to make it somewhat like CMA but with Warsaw pact units. Will be meant to play red on red - with German forces on one side and rebels on the other. Mod is planned to cover time period of mid 60 till late 70s of the 20st century. Syria represented within the game will be treated by mods of this series as Afghanistan. No modern tech will be modded - simply Warsaw pact go against rebbles in Afghan/Iran area.

Oleksandr,
Are you still making mods and skins for Back Sea, love your work man, great stuff. I left a comment regarding the Ukrainian T-64 skin, looks great, though for some reason the inner left of the front interior hull, near the mud guards is missing a texture in 2K or 4K.
From what I know - that is a bug. I'm not sure why this is happening with T-64 model. At this moment in time - I'm not interested in doing stuff for Black Sea. That might change within time - but generally speaking I'm a bit tired of it. Did to many mods on it.

Don't forget a bit of rust or dark streaks where rain would have run down (and mud).
Im thinking about some dust and sand with some additional insignias - want to do few variants of each with some pin up art, tactical signs and numbers and stuff like that. Still thinking. But I will not do them way to used because these ones are relatively new vehicles (its for 1943). And I would not make a lot of water marks since its a summer time in italy - which is at times close to desert. For Normandy I would do rusty and wet tanks - but from what I've seen on those pictures - they were dusty most of the time. Yet, I dont want them to be all that dusty as well... hm... I will need to think about all this.

+1 NICE!!! I have the above unit crest on one of my old berets. I spent most of my time in the 313th MI Bn. of the 82nd (the unit crest in my moniker). But I also did a few months in the Division's HQ, HQ Company in the 1980s. The above crest was worn by HQ Company. Maybe a few other Division level units also wore it? I don't remember now. Of course we all wore the division shoulder patch except it was subdued on our BDUs. Cool mod, thank you.
Always welcome!
