  1. These coal miners are running the wrong way and they've left their tractor.
  2. I would love to see the data that would support that hypothesis.
  3. I agree with Panzer and Miller in spirit-- HE-Quick is not the best tool in the box for doing the business against armor. With that said I think the Abrams resiliency in-game could still be toned down a notch.
  4. @IICptMillerII Just curious, are you under the impression that an Abrams in real life could sustain this many direct hits from 155 HE-quick and still function?
  5. I have a lot of experience searching through fields for crashed Ravens and IMHO it would make the job tougher if they were camouflaged. EDIT: There is no rescue mission so unfulfilling as those launched in the pursuit of Raven recovery. We had a guy that needed to be MEDEVACed three times on one deployment, because he kept spraining his fat wobbly cankles-- at least we could tease him mercilessly about his cankles putting everyone's lives at risk, but Ravens-- they show no regret or embarrassment, no thanks or relief. Almost like they expect you to rescue them-- like you owe them-- well listen here Raven-- we owe you nothing.
  6. At 30 minutes now. 21 Enemy Vehicles destroyed, estimated 75 enemy casualties. 26 friendly casualties, 0 friendly vehicles destroyed. Kino's Artillery Corps has fired roughly 777 rounds of arty and mortars.
  7. For the maths folks, you can calculate my casualty percentage by taking 24 (casualties) dividing it by 500 (total personnel) and multiplying that value by 100.
  8. 28 Minutes in-- 19 Enemy vehicles confirmed destroyed, estimated 55 enemy casualties. Friendly casualties are at 24 personnel KIA/WIA, 0 vehicles lost.
  9. http://sill-www.army.mil/firesbulletin/archives/2002/NOV_DEC_2002/NOV_DEC_2002_FULL_EDITION.pdf Read the article titled "Who Says Dumb Artillery Rounds Can't Kill Armor?" It should answer most if not all the questions asked here.
  10. That sounds awfully familiar now where have I heard this before-- Ahh yes-- I remember.
  11. 22 minutes in. 17 Enemy vehicles destroyed. Estimated 45 enemy casualties. Team America has sustained 12 casualties.
  12. Maybe I should have gone with TheFISTER. But I was younger back then-- more innocent, eager to not offend. I had that doe eyed look and can't be broken spirit that all the noobs have when they arrive.
  13. You guys sound like me when I was 18. "WHAT!? WE'RE CALLED FISTERS!? How am I suppose to tell people I'm a FISTER!!" That's why I went with TheForwardObserver. Easier for people to understand than TheFISTER.
  14. The collective noun for a group of grazing free range American FISTERs is a Det. A Rookery of Albatross, Herd of Bison, Bloat of Hippos, Det of FISTERs (FOs).
  15. An Abrams platoon halts its advance to investigate suspicious activity along the riverbank.
  16. Rgr that John. Saber Xray this Saber 16, we are Oscar Mike en route to phase line Minnehaha, over.
  17. 15 minutes in, 1 hour and 45 minutes left. All initial reconnaissance objectives have been met. Blue Casualties are at 7 personnel, 0 vics. 2 from indirect fire, 5 from direct fire. We've taken approximately 235 rounds of enemy artillery and mortars, and have identified the positions of 14 enemy vehicles, as well as accompanying infantry. Red casualties are estimated at 7 vics destroyed and 25 casualties. We are now entering operational phase Arnhem auslöschen.
  18. In the end the commander gets what the commander needs. A division going into action will have their organic FA btlns/mortars and an attached 1-5 btlns of 155/HIMARS/MLRS. Depending on who is doing what, anything's possible.
  19. @kinophile The question you should be asking is whether it's real at all. 7 Batteries of Paladins firing in support of a single maneuver battalion is unusual to say the least.
  20. Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.
  21. @HerrTom We're two batteries short of all the Division's organic FA.
