Well I don't know what Bulletpoint has decided but it sounds like CMFI is right up my ally.  I too appreciate all the replies.  They were all very helpful.  Some may be asking themselves - why'd he decide that.  :-))  Well,  I like the lesser 

powerful tanks, lack of forests or trees and mountains sound fun plus unusual units.  That unusual units got me.  :-))

Well all I can say is while not trying to change BF's minds or plans ( Which I can't ) I would just like to experience tanks before they became the awesome machines they became ( IS -2 & tigers come to mind ).  I particularly enjoy 

less powerful tanks because I like lots of ground troops and fewer tanks which to me adds enjoyment due to the fact that tanks don't rule.  And yeah I know I'll pay for saying that because they did but not in my games they don't as I play

almost strictly quick battles.

Thanks again Michael.  Well,  I'm the kinda guy that has tunnel vision meaning that if I'm not particularly looking for a certain thing I ignore everything else so things do seem to get past me on occasion.  Looking back over the home page I was however able to get a better understanding of what I was trying to ask to begin with.

Thank you yet again Michael.  I know!  that's what I was thinking.  I mean the Brits were pretty tough and normally effective in all area's so the lack of good armor kinda surprised and puzzled me.  So they did kinda catch up

around 1942 or later.  Good to hear.  I'll have to try and read up some on this subject - if I can pull myself away from the Eastern Front.  WOW!  That front was something else.  I have gained a lot of respect for Russia and 

what she went through in WWll.  Just actually learned how awesome their tanks were or should say became.  I had no idea.  Smart damn engineers and designers!

Excellent question BulletPoint.  Am very glad you asked it as I am in that particular situation right now myself.  Limited funds requires me to make sure I buy the correct game so this topic and answers are very interesting to 

me.  I have also read all the product pages and while they are of some use I prefer getting answers from the guys that play the games.  Couldn't have worded the question better btw.  :-))  Now if I could piggyback the original 

question I am kinda wondering if either of the add ons to Normandy ( Market Garden/ CommonWealth ) give me a big bang for the bucks or is adding either not really going to change the base game that much?

Thanks so much Womble.  That helps quite a bit so since Red Thunder is the newest game then BF will be going back to Normandy/France and Italy before starting back on Russia.  God make my thinking be correct.  :-))

[Question about future CM games]

I am trying to understand what BF's future intentions are in regards to new CM games.  I have heard that they will revisit each game moving backwards but not understanding what that exactly means.  Any insight of this question? please.

I do not know a lot about British tanks and how big of part they played in WWll and was just wondering why they didn't or if they in fact did and I'm just unaware of it.  Now I do know about the desert rats and Rommel but other than that I've not read, heard or seen much.  Just curious.

Glad this was brought up.  I too have dozens of BF files all over the place.  Could I just put them all into one or other of the BF files?  Or could I even create a new file maybe called BF Folder and place everything in there?  Appreciate any advice.  I am a neat freak and like everything just so plus not really being all that computer savy.

Thanks Emrys, good to know and tells me what I need to know.  So I may as well go ahead and buy Red Thunder since it'll be a while for the period I'm looking for in a CM game.  I have tried other games but imo they just do not 

compare with BF games but will take a look at the Matrix games you mentioned StieliAlpa.  So am I understanding correctly that each game like Russia or France or Italy is considered a "Game Family "?

Oh I don't doubt there are that many trees over there I was no complaining mildly that I didn't care for that many in my game(s).  I have actually reviewed every map trying to find the one's that don't have forest but even the open one's or 

most of them have tons of them.  I did try the alt+t but like Muzzleflash mentioned you get weird LOS's and kinda screws my game up.  That's mainly why I am looking for another game.  I just happen to like open/rough/hilly maps better.

The Allies (US/UK) called it the Ardennes Counteroffensive. The phrase "Battle of the Bulge" came around later pioneered by the press at that time and became the MOST popular.

Good God! are there no quick battles without trees by the millions!  Guess I bought the wrong game as I really do not care for trees - at all.  I suppose Red Thunder would have been more up my ally but too late now.  It sucks being poor and $55.00 being so much!

I am reading about the beginning of the invasion of Russia and am really into it.  I had no idea how or what or anything about this prior to my readings and am just blown away by what Russia went through compared to the other allies.  Anyway, having said that my question is - is there any idea of when Battlefront will make another game for this period.  If not I under but am so excited that they might - someday but would like to know when.  Thanks

Extremely interesting and yes these photo's really show you the size difference in tanks.  What I found interesting in my readings is how many types of vehicles Germany had compared to everybody else.  No wonder they produced

so fewer per month or year.

Thank you Michael for the reply that tells me exactly what I need to know. I was going to put off buying Red Dawn but since another game in that period won't be out for what sounds like forever to me I'll go ahead and move on RD now.
