Do you have Vin's mod? The one that replaces the text on the bottom left of the screen that tells you what individual soldiers in a unit are doing, spotting, aiming etc with icons?
If so, remove it.
Otherwise, make sure you unzip or unrar the install files, including patches each in a separate folder with nothing else in it. Don't just unzip everything in a folder where there are other brz from a different game. And run the exe from there.

That'll be a mismatched mod.....Pull your mods and all should be well. 
You can then add them back one at a time to see which are still compatible.

Just remove everything in:
[Your CM:BN Game Install Location]/Data/Z
That should remove all the mods you've added (I don't believe CM:BN has a seperate Mods folder like the later games).

Ok, Glen, and see the problem...You have 3.12, and next would need to purchase & install the 4.0 Upgrade, then you install the 4.02 Patch.
