Most of the gaming community is composed of people from different backgrounds and tastes. What you have done here @Skwabie is take a problem that some of the Combat Mission players have and provide a solution. I hope you continue to find the time to tinker with the game you bought and share anymore of your discoveries and solutions with us players who find these problems aggravating and persistent.

Have a speedy recovery Kohlenklau.

War is never beautiful.

It's good that you are keeping your options open. Plans often don't survive contact with the enemy's avenue(s) of approach.
not rush.

The wait will continue.
The avatar is of Chris Farley. He was quite the wacky dude!

Any news that can be shared?

Thanks for the news JonS.
I'm looking forward to these battlepacks.

Possibly 16 years since it was a big request back in CMx1 days The old game system was utterly incapable of simulating artificial illumination because lighting wasn't simulated and Borg spotting existed. CMx2, however, is inherently capable of it, though the execution of it is still a bit tricky to pull off. Hence why it hasn't happened yet.
This seems very familiar to me, but I don't remember what past discussions turned up so I've asked the testing lads to remind me.
My response to the ASL stuff was specific to that list. Our list, on the other hand, is vastly larger and it does include all kinds of things on it. No worries about QBs being left out of the mix.

Thanks for the reply Steve. Didn't want to make another thread or bother this one from its ASL discussion.

I hope we continue to see increased support for QBs, especially regarding the AI. Anything to help is always welcome.

I'm liking this campaign kohlenlau. Really epic.

Awesome work Vein!

Go ahead and let the AI choose its own forces! I think you will be pretty pleased. I did it a lot during testing and by release I was not seeing any oddities.
This is the most beautiful thing I have seen yet!

I can't help but comment on this.
It was a good story, but the ending was so bad that it ruins the entire movie with nonsense. First, the only German capable of common sense when under fire is the Sniper. This is stupid. (The sniper was the grizzly looking veteran that takes out Pitt.) All those SS were well armed and geared up it seems, too bad they apparently ALL lacked common sense. And the panzerfausts were only used toward the end of the fight and everyone misses, ala CMBN. But the biggest problem with the movie is how it builds up the hatred of the SS and in the end, an SS soldier leaves the American soldier alive under the tank. As if he wouldn't shoot the guy after he slaughtered his battalion...
Sorry for the rant, I'll go back to CM and Band of Brothers now.
If you want a "Fury" scenario, put a Waffle SS Battalion with a date as late as you can make it (September 1944 I think) down on a map with road and give them a single order to advance past the Sherman and hold fire.

Not by this weekend, sorry. We're getting close though...
Thanks for the response Chris. Hope to find some time to try it out when it comes out

I'm ready for something new. I hope CMBS comes out by Friday because I go back to college next week and I would like to try out a couple of QBs.
Kingtiger Mantlet and Coax MG problem, and an attempted 3D model Fix

If your worried about cheating, then we should be worried about Pirates! Yo Ho!
In all seriousness, the fixes are working great and I don't play PBEM. If I ever did, I would take them out of the mod folder. Simple. Just because someone else might not shouldn't affect my ability to enjoy a product to its fullest. So while the "debate" rages over how thick the armor on the Tiger II mantlet is, I'll enjoy a working coax. Thanks Skawbie.
