Wow those last pics are great. I really hope these new vehicles will be in a future module.
Any chance that we will see a Russian BMP-3M with ERA & ARENA in the upcoming patch of a future one?

The biggest weakness of the RPG-7 compared to the RPG-29 is its weak rocket motor, which limits range and accuracy (at range).
And, as it was already mentioned the RPG-7 has the advantage over the RPG-29 of ammunition diversity - plus the fact that an empty RPG-29 weighs the same as a RPG-7 and 1-2 rockets (depends on rocket type).
-
No, the Russian don't use it as standard issue. They found it too heavy and expensive. Instead they use the RPG-7V2.

On a second inspection I did find 3 trucks out of 20 trucks carried the aforementioned 500 7,92k rounds.
In CM:RT I think a begleitgrenadier squad of 12 men has the highest allocation of Stg-44s. Out of 20 squads I have one that has 3 stg-44s within the squad. Unfortunately they only carry 630 rounds between them. (Scenario takes place on 30th of September 1944, the latest possible date in this module)

Indeed.

+1 :-)
+2 :-D

Thanks for your answers guys.
I have noticed the lack of 7,92K ammo In CM:RT as well. None of the supply trucks or halftracks have any.

Is it only the market garden module that contains SS formation?
Does SS units have a higher allocation of stg-44's than heer formations?

Great news, and big thanks to all beta testers. Any ETA on 1.03?

Don't get any Tunguskas before the choppers arrive. All I have is two "teams" of MANPADS who don't hit **** (BTW, can they acquire more ammo somehow?). When are those tunguskas supposed to arrive? (at 10:20?)
EDIT: They did shown up at 10:24, they were just a few minutes late. Unfortunately those few minutes cost me two T-90s, a BMP-3 and a Tigr. Guess I'll have to do without those.

How do I shoot the American helicopters down?
Have deployed my AA units on rooftops which should give them an excellent field of vision, but they just sit there doing nothing while the US choppers pick off my tanks and BMPs at their leisure.

That quadruple small launchers beneatch ATGM mounts are some sort of APS?
Think those might be smoke launchers.
But they could also be a new type of APS.

Thank you.
Not sure, it is difficult to tell from the rear. Either a T-64 or a T-72, most likely a T-64 when it's in separatist hands.
-
That's a T-64BV. Can you PM me the link, please.

Thanks for the answers guys.
So what is the number of APS cassettes that each system can hold?
Arena: 6?
Trophy: 4?
Zaslon: 6?
-
Shouldn't APS's be able to be reloaded like smoke dischargers?
-
Would Ukraine be able to afford to mass produce a T-64 derived IFV? To my understanding they are more or less broke?

Sorry, to move off-topic, but this question has been bugging me for a while.
How does the Russian armed forces compare to China's?

You could access artist's depiction of Armata (the tnk version) here, I believe it is reasonably accurate to provide the general idea:
http://rosinform.ru/photo/osnovnoy-tank-t-14--na-baze-tyazheloy-unifitsirovannoy-platformy-armata/
The actual vehicle would be accessible to public during the parade rehearsals - as parade vehicles pass through central Moscow for that.
This design would really disappoint me. But maybe its more realistic considering the technical know-how of the Russian military industry (they had to get a hold of the French-designed Catherine FCS to level the playing field with western counterparts). Also, a vehicle like that shouldn't be that expensive or difficult to produce, so maybe their goal of 2,300 new vehicles by 2020 isn't so unrealistic then.
About the T-14, I think it's a plausible design, and when you think about it, it's about time that someone did something new with MBT-design. Most current MBTs are based on old designs and thinking, and although they have been upgraded a lot, their value in certain combat situations and in different roles is limited. A design like the one that is suggested by the video I posted is a kind of hybrid T-72 terminator/T-90 MBT; it'll be able to engage infantry, IFVs, lightly armoured vehicles and helicopters with its 30mm cannon and 12.7mm Gatling gun, while saving its main gun ammunition for more deserving targets.
Anyway, what about the TALON missile - a guided hydra-70 rocket?. This kit in supposed to be operational at this point, and is definitely a lot cheaper than a Hellfire missile (110,000 USD according to wiki). This would be a nice addition to the Apache for use against IFVs (if it's powerful enough?), infantry, bunkers and lightly armoured vehicles.
BTW, to my understanding what separates a rocket from a missile is guidance, is this right?

The ability to adjust draw distance of trees, roads and units by a slider in the menu. Or, even better the ability to control these things in a config file.
-
Apparently the Armata will be named the T-14 and not T-99.
Anyone seen this yet? (A computer generated model of what the T-14 might look like based on the early mock-up model that was revealed a few years back)
-
My guess is 19th of December at 18:01 GMT/PST/EST whatever.
-
I really hope they'll add the BMPT-72 "Terminator" in a future module. Would love to see this beast tear through some infantry and IFVs.
-
Because most of them dont, the only evidence of consistency in optic colimator sights being issued is within VDV units.
I see. Should give US infantry an advantage at longer ranges then, right?
-
How come the Russian don't have any optics on their assault rifles?
Armata soon to be in service.

Indeed. That thing looked awesome.
