  1. Is it possible to use the digital appearance slot for a differently skinned version of the same vehicle?

For example I would like to edit Kieme's excellent T-64 skin to a Separatist look and use it in the digital appearance slot, while leaving the Ukrainian look in the standard appearance slot.

  2. Interesting, but the article didn't really provide any new information - the guided round has been in the works for years, and so has electronic tracking/guiding systems.

To me the problem with such system is the cost of issuing such weapons, and perhaps the loss of "real" skills for future snipers.

  3. Yeah, well what I meant was that I would love to know if they have started working or conceptualizing on a new engine.

We know almost for sure that it will be at least a couple of years before we will see a new engine.

I base this "knowledge" on what was announced by ChrisND, I believe, that they are going to release at least 3 more titles based on the CM2.0 engine: CM:BN Battle of the Bulge, CM:FI beyond the Gustav line, An expansion for CM:BS.

  4. I see, so there are compatibility problems in terms of fitting all three at once.

But, I still think we also need a BMP3 with Arena and ERA and one with Shtora and ERA, just for balance reasons.

I've read countless times how people call the BMP-3 a glasscannon - it's firepower is impressive, but so is it's explosive reactions to being with by anything above 50. cal.

I agree with you Stagler, a version with improved optics, which someone has posted info about in one of the other thread I believe, is needed for the Russians to add a bit more balance spotting-wise.

  5. Start with a heavy arty bombardment of the church using your 203mm pieces (cross your fingers in the hope that you don't destroy both church towers in the process - they will make excellent observation points throughout the scenario)

Use your infantry to scout ahead and find enemy vehicles, then use artillery to take them out or destroy enough subsystems to make them ineffective (this is more likely to happen when you target Abrams tanks - they are extremely tough to kill outright with arty).

Expect heavy casualties from whatever vehicles and infantry that you don't spot right away, it is more of less unavoidable in that particular scenario.
