How do you do this? I'm sure I remember reading that you could but I can't seem to figure it out. Last night I had a tank safely go round the back of my bazooka teams arc in a game, would really have come in handy then.

It depends on the situation really. For example if the guy with the machinegun is hit then I want buddy aid to kick in immediately to get the weapon up again as quick as possible. Can't say I've had any problems with the system yet.

Thank you to all modders and scenario\map makers, really happy with the amount of stuff thats been released already. This game has a bright future thanks to you guys and battlefront.

Is your FO being shot at? I think that can have an effect on the accuracy of artillery.

Gave an order for a squad to move through what I thought was a gap in the bocage but they ended up going the long way round, running straight into the middle of a contested chokepoint. They ran straight through a couple of my own tanks exploding he shells (which was area firing on a hedgerow) and a bunch of enemy mg fire without flinching until they finally realised they were on a fools errand and turned back in a panicked retreat. Much to my amazement they took no casualties at all and managed to get safely back to cover. Luckiest squad ever.

Had a nightmare in one of the campaign missions last night with a minefield. Had a whole platoon with staggered orders set to move quick through what turned out to be a minefield. Of course, it was in wego so I had to watch for a minute as each squad lined up and ran through it with disastrous results. Was so painful to watch.

Will hide and target arc spring an ambush once something enters the arc?

Also bear in mind that when you check los from a waypoint, the line will originate from where your unit is but is actually showing the los from the waypoint. Slightly confusing but it works fine.

Had this pop up a couple of times from mg fire on halftracks. Could someone explain exactly what it means? Is it just a ricochet off the ground into the armor or does it mean a bullet ricocheting inside the vehicle?

A couple of cool things I've seen:
A perfectly aimed rifle grenade fly in through a second story window to take out an MG42.
A breach team blowing through a wall and taking a squad by surprise, killing a few of them before the rest surrendered.

I think the only way to see kill stats is after the battle when reviewing the map.

Yes, definitely. I also feel awful when men are lying there wounded and I have to leave them. 1:1 makes the infantry combat feel much more human.

So jealous of people getting decent speeds. Been on 50 kb\s for ages now. Would try flashget but I managed to get half of the file already before the speeds tanked.

My favourite infantry moment from the demo has probably been getting a platoon into the ditch behind the village in Closing the Gap under the cover of smoke and then using them to assault the AT gun from close range and rush into the buildings from behind. Those turns were watched many times.

I enjoy both but from the demo the most fun I've had has been with infantry. I love the specialised split squads, buddy aid\ammo sharing and have also had a lot of fun experimenting with the breach teams all over the map on busting the bocage.

That's the suppression meter, once it reaches the top the unit becomes pinned.
Ah I see, thought it was some kind of indicator of mental state. Good to know.

Isn't that information the upside down triangle thing in the hud? Once it fills to the top they're likely to panic.

I would be thrilled if the game was to be released today. The demo made the wait easier for a while but I've played it to death at this point. So I guess what I'm saying is pleeeeease!

As good a place as any for my first post. Been playing the CM games since CMBO and I absolutely love the demo, played through the scenarios multiple times. So eager to get my hands on the full game now. Great stuff Battlefront, keep up the good work.
