  1. Did anybody mention the CM:SF artillery voice effects yet? They were in the 2nd video, but they aren't in the next Beta :D

    On the whole though, our philosophy is to reuse as much as we can from previous games. This does three things:

    1. Keeps development costs down

    2. Allows us to focus our energies on more important things

    3. Speeds up development (which is sorta tied to the above two)

    Sounds can be Modded quite easily, and 10 people will likely not agree on which Mod for a specific weapon sounds best, so we don't see sound effects as a priority for redoing if what we already have is adequate.

  2. If it really is such a big deal to the OP, then maybe just try self-limiting yourself to what you can see on the map by sticking to eye-level point of views of your units.

    Or duct tape on the monitor. :-)

    Now that is an interesting idea...the first part that is ;) Printing out maps and so forth I think is stretching it a bit lol. You want more realism then that, go find a recruiting station. :P

  3. Outstanding videos and thanks to tyrspawn for doing them. I usually always wait to play a demo before buying anything as I've learned lessons the hard way, but these have convinced me that I'm pretty safe in pre-ordering on this one.

    I literally winced the whole first minute as that initial barrage came in on that platoon by the way. That was just brutal and tough luck losing your AT gun in the process.
