Quoting the Soviet argument during the Cuba crises. If the US can point nuclear weapons to Cuba, Cuba can point our weapons to the US. Ukraine is a sovereign country and has the right to protect itself against Russia as it sees fit.
Yeah, I totally agree that any country has the right to deploy weapons they see fit. However, US didn't think so in Cuban Crisis and now Putin doesn't think so either.

From BBC
Posted at 8:328:32France sending weapons to Ukraine
Weapons and equipment are en route from France to Ukraine, as the West supplies aid to Ukraine in their battle with advancing Russian troops.
President Zelensky tweeted that he had spoken to France's President Macron early on Saturday morning as a "new day on the diplomatic frontline began".
"The anti-war coalition is working!" Mr Zelensky tweeted.
On Saturday, Mr Macron posted a video of himself declaring: "The war will last - we must prepare for it!"
It's good to see at least Ukraine is not totally abandoned to their own fate.

First for the Russian apologist. Russia is defending itself. Against whom, Ukraine? Ukraine joining NATO? Only a single NATO country has to say no. I suspect behind the scenes a few have told Putin they would Veto it. Vladimir has only one agenda and that is restoring the Soviet empire.
No one guarentees that Ukraine will never join NATO, and I still think it's the Ukraine's best choice to leave the Russian control. But Russia of course won't tolerate any offensive or defensive weapon deployed along its border, just like US didn't tolerate Soviet's missile in Cuba.

I'm afraid Putin doesn't want to reconcile with Ukraine. What in his mind is 'Heck, Ukraine has already turned west, Russia has no way to befriend her. Then why not just grab more land from her and boost Russian territory, at least Russia is bigger?“ Then invasion happens.

Ok, let’s do China for a minute. China’s not in the same league as Russia, I am not sure they are even playing the same sport. China’s trajectory and activities mirror US early days as a rising power in the 19th century, they are in this to win. Win what Capt? Win the pen that gets to write the new set of rules.
So What about Ukraine? Well if you are trying for top dog, it does not mean you just have weight to throw around, you must also lead. China has done this in its sphere but globally it has been standing back and waiting. This whole thing is not helping China in my opinion. They are playing a long game and a kinda-partner lit half the board on fire. This is damned awkward for them as they are not ready to take over global leadership, they lack the clout or street cred and the US, while a little bruised up, is no where near ready to toss in the towel. So now Russia starts a ruckus and they are trying desperately to not take a side while looking weak in the process; this does not promote a global leadership image and they cannot break with Russia the next biggest power in the “out club”.
And then there is India..like what the hell guys?!
China actually has no intention to write the new global rules. The fundamental intention is to keep ruling party ruling, just like what they did in the past two thousand years, with emperor, isolated, fed or revolt... Their cultue hasn't changed much.
China indeed has no interest to condemn the Russian invasion because they played their abacus and found that they gained nothing besides moral high ground. Trade war is still going on. US still is blocking China's ambition to take Taiwan, which China thinks it legitimately hers. That's why China takes the stance refusing to condemn the invasion but repeatly concern the integrity of Ukrainian territory.

Putin doesn't want world war 3. If he wanted that, he could just have pushed the button, or at least attacked the Baltics or Poland. He wants Ukraine because he thinks it's historically part of Russia, because he wants to leave a legacy, and because he's an intelligent sociopath who realises that Ukraine is an unguarded chess piece since they are not in NATO. I think that's all. Not digging a bunker just yet.
Fully agree.

Win or lose, they are likely to be treated as a pariah state by the international community for the next twenty years. And what's disturbing is that they probably took this into account and still went for it in the end.
Russia is already a pariah state, isn't it? She has nothing to lose.

Without proper organzation, lone wolf attack will just be sporadical. My two cents.
I won't think highly of Ukranians' patriotism, then get disappointed by the result. People need to be properly trained and fed to fight against invasion.

Also, there is a chance that the attack on the Millerovo airbase was done by TB2 drones and not by Tochka-U missiles. If this is confirmed, the russian army REALLY needs to look into the capabilities of its air defence (Either that, or maybe the TB2 is just that good or/and the Ukranians really know how to make good use of them)
TB2 is just a tactical UAV and the load is small. I doubt that they've been used to bomb the airbase. If they were used, the destruction it could inflict is minimal.

On the contrary, I don't think Kyiv is the vital target, but the eastern region of Dnieper. The most desired region is the southern part of eastern region to link Crimea with Russia territory and expand two tiny separate repulics.

When US invaded Iraq in 2003, the world was watching too. Damn, can the great powers in this world just stop doing such things?

Wow, I still remember that the Fulda Gap was restated many times in the forum that it won't be on the to-do list. "Change" is a powerful word!

Slitherine/Matrix usually provide Steam keys for previous purchases when launched on that platform. So I hope this is not an exception.
If the game is purchased on Slitherine store, that's the case. However, if the purchase happened on BFC store, the answer remains unknown.

It's amazing that CMBS is used as training simulation with British Army. Does that mean that BFC is now coperating with Slitherine/Matrix and we are expecting a British module in the near future?

I'm currently going through the 5th mission of this campaign, and it also seems that the 120mm mortars present in the briefing aren't actually in the scenario.
They may be Stryker mortars that will come late in game.

You may not select to use your high-performance video card, but Integrated Graphics. Each time you want to start the game, right click on the shortcut icon and select "run with graphics processor" -> select "High=performance xxxxx processor". Mine xxxxx is NVIDIA. You may have other brand.

Hmm. I feel I too hastily posted what I saw. I gave that mission another start and all five missile are not hitting top(one missed) although I saw one missile hitting top armor with tank destroyed before I started the thread.

Sorry, no. You can play mission "Bier und Brezel". There are two sets of man portable Milan-3 in the game.

Very sadly. Yes. But what else can people of Ukranian do then? Giving up easily won't help to get Putin's leniency, won't get Crimea and Donbass back. They just have no choice.
