The "get a new password" is only for when the NEW website goes on line. There are instruction right on the main page of it that will walk you through getting a new password. Pretty sure changing your password on the old store site isn't going to do anything for you.

Is the new website live yet  as the site URL I have is for the old one.  If it is live, what's the URL?

  2. Got a weird thing going on here, doesn't matter which CM game I start up. After my PC has been idle for a while, when I start up a CM battle (regardless of specific game), my map spins and slides left. Holding down  the control key freezes things, but soon as I let up, off to the races again. The only fix I've found is to exit the game,  log off my PC and  re-log in, then all is normal.

    Hi all,

OK, several different things.  The easiest one to fix is CMRT....

The move to the new unified system started a while ago.  CMBN was moved over, CMBS and CMFB started their lives with it and know nothing else.  CMRT was migrated last night.

Enter in your original CMRT license key.  That should do the trick.

    Steve

Does not work for me either. I put in the key from the bundle upgrade and get told invalid key, put in the key from the original purchase, says success!! but when I try to run the game I get the big red box of unhappiness.

  4. I must either have a run of incompetent FOs or something I'm missing here. Most every call for fire mission I've done uses UAV spotting in commo with a FO, yet my fires are wildly off the mark. "Fire for effect" is called even though the spotting rounds are nowhere near the target, hence my fire missions are not on target. I've fired  "precision" missions where the first round hit in front of the vehicle, second attempt behind the vehicle, no damage either time. I've had fire missions visibly impact off the map, linear smoke missions way off the mark, etc, etc.  What gives?

  5. Been away from CMSF for a while so I started with the training campaign as a re-familiarization. Encountered a situation in the second scenario I don't recall from before. This is the "call for arty/air" mission. When I hit the start button, as soon as the OPFOR becomes visible my two Strykers pop smoke and begin scurrying around like gerbils on acid, still popping smoke all the while. Needless to say this makes it difficult for my forward observer(s) to actually observe, let alone call for fire.

So my workaround is to dismount my FO teams and let them do their thing dismounted while the Strykers are still in full blown panic mode.

My second situation (same scenario) is that my morter fire (both 81s and 120s) is wildy, wildy off target, begining with the initial spotting round, yet here my FO is merrily calling in "fire for effect"!

    Any comments/suggestions/advice is much appreciated.

  6. No, don't put it in mod tools. The old way was to create a sub-folder of the Data folder and call it 'z', then put all mods in that. I've done this with CMRT and it works

Is there any difference (playabilty, load times, etc) between using the mods folder vs creating a z folder?

  7. Ian.leslie,

In the campaign directory, several scenarios in the Scottish Corridor campaign show broken image links. The following messages showed up in the command window once the organizer finished running:

  8. I'm not Mad Mike but I have used his tool and conversed with him about it several times. And as a Java developer I might be able to help you get it to run.

OK that just means I have some test version he sent me you should replace the name "CMBN_Scen_Organiser_v0.3.jar" with whatever your .jar file is named. Sharing the error message you see after you do that might allow me (or others) to figure out what is wrong.

You are not supposed to do anything with that. It is there for java developers to see his source code. I have not even looked at it though. Don't worry about it. And using 7zip manager will not get the program to run it will just show you the inner workings of the .jar file. Which is not likely to help you in any way.

Sorry about the mis-Id there ian.leslie. I changed the version to the one I have and successfully ran the code in the command prompt, both in the scenario and campaign directories. What does this tell you? Thank you, by the way, I do appreciate this!

  9. @Topkick

Not sure what the issue would be but try this. Open a command window in the directory where the scenarios and scenario organizer are located and run this command:

    java -jar CMBN_Scen_Organiser_v0.3.jar

If you get errors report them back here and I'll try and help.

    Hi Mad Mike,

    I get the following:

Error: Unable to access jarfile CMBN_Scen_Organiser_v0.3.jar

    1. I have version 0.22, the code you gave me ends with v0.3. Is there a version 0.3? If so I cannot find it.

    2. There is a folder named "source" that shows up in the 7zip manager file list, am I supposed to do something with that folder?

  10. Hi Mad Mike,

I am not able to get this to run. I have it set to open with SE Binary when I try to run it, a dos command window flashes up and shuts down before I can read. Otherwise, no joy.

    Any ideas?

Further amplification: with Java 6, I would get the above error, with Java 7, when I click on the tool, it opens up in a 7Zip window with a bunch of class files showing. In both cases, when I unzip the organizer, it does not show as a Java executable, but remains a .jar file.
