  1. I tested it with 2 and 4 players. Only me had the mission files installed.

For the 3 others guys, the command point were at 0.

I tested it twice with 2 players, all had installed the files.

    It works fine.

But with TOW 1, it was not necessary for others to install the mission.

I am surprise that there is no way to automatically share the files, like it was in TOW 1.

An other possibility is that I made a mistake in the missions I modified.

So I would like 1C and Battlefront to clarify that point.

  2. So, first, you have to open the mission editor.

Go in the folder "MissionEditor", then launch Editor.exe

Then, open the mission you want to change (the best way is to first make a copy of the mission with a new name, for exemple, MP_03_Kursk_modified)

Open the mission tree, then netspawn. You will find here the command point for the first army. Do the same for the second army

In this exemple, I set command point to 10000 !

  3. Multiplayer mission ?

It is just a question of definition.

    The map is "the landscape".

To make a mission, you have to add units, and some triggers to determine the winner !

In case of MP missions, triggers are quite simples.

For solo missions, triggers are much more complicated of course.

So I have 2 maps or missions ready, where you can have between 15 and 25 tanks (depending on the price of each tanks).

Just need to be tested !

  4. 1/ these maps are for TOW 1 only.

But it is the same principle. I can made specifica MP maps for Kursk, with a lot of tanks :)

I begun, but there are some small difference between TOW 1 and Kursk. I have not fully understood all. My biggest problem is that it seems that all players should have install the new map, that was not the case for TOW 1.

    2/ yes. here : .../Theatre Of War/Missions/MP_LIST

3/ No, it is not possible with TOW 1 to choose your tanks. But it is possible with TOW 2 - Kursk. I will make a MP mission like that !

    4/ No, I don't work for them ;)

So newt MP session, I wil propose a new MP mission with a lot of tanks

  5. No mod.

you can DL theses missions :

tournoi TOW 2009-01 (mission number 8), 3 missions, 2 with about 25 tanks.

MP mission pack 39-45 01 (mission number 11), less tanks, more infantry !

There is no point like in Tow 2 to change your army. But you can easily change the army by using the mission editor.

If you are not used to the mission editor, ask questions !

  6. In the subdirectory of your mission, you have a file, briefing.dat.

you can open it with notepad.

    In this file :

    -----------

    [ClassInfo]

    ClassName TMaterial

    [Layer0]

    TextureName briefing.tga

    tfModulate 1

    tfNoWriteZ 1

    tfMinLinear 1

    tfMagLinear 1

    tfBlend 1

    tfNoDegradation 1

    -------

briefing.tga is the name of the image.

Must be in TGA format, and the size must be 512x512

For the text, you have the file texts.utf8.

You can use notepad to edit.

    For exemple :

    ------------

    [submission_01.Objectives]

    Combat Group A

    Objective: St.Aignan

    [submission_01.Description]

Combat group A will lead the Southern flank attack on Gavrus. In order to obtain the final objective you must push back the Germans from the small farms of St. Aignan.

You have two headquarters in which you can call in reinforcements.

    1. If you want to request armor (tank) support, send your English colonel to the U.S. captain near the Stuart.

    2. If you want to request paratrooper support, send your English colonel to the English captain near the truck. Paratroppers will be dropped right on the city of St Aignan.

    [submission_01.Success]

Excellent!! You have pushed back the Germans in this area. This will allow us a strategic attack point for our final mission on Gavrus.

    [submission_01.Failed]

You failed to push the Germans from St. Aignan!!

Combat groups B and C will have to secure their objectives if the attack on Gavrus is to be a success.
