  1. Agreed with TFS, those two M240 squads literally saved my virtual men lives. I ended up with 4 KIA and 8 WIA... OpFor made a lucky sniping shot with an AT (at least i think it was some kind of AT ) and made the guys of the 1st Squad think twice before keep advancing without some heavy MG cover xD. Yair, i'm counting the minutes left till you next map xD
  2. After watching that table (and trying to imagine myself how hard for you should have been collecting that data) i can only state: HOLY S*%T!
  3. I confirm what Erw says. I'm also the "lucky" owner of the spanish version and i've been asking around since the 1.08 patch was released. No solution has been found so far. I hope they DO find one for 1.10, it's annoying. Oh, by the way, Marines module works with the spanish version, so i don't know WTH is going on with the patches...
  4. Count me in! A medium to big sized town with those parameters would make a great time, at least i would enjoy it.
  5. Already tested it. I can't wait to see M24 and M240 with Desert Camo
  6. Fantastic map, if you continue making this kind of maps i'll keep downloading them
  7. Scipio, i've downloaded almost all of your mods and i love them! They really make the game a bit more immersive.
  8. Pity... Well, we'll stick with our current "invisible civvs"... I hope at least BFC includes them (and prisoners too) in future CM games...
  9. Nice! I'll download it as soon as i get home. Stupid question, the uniforms of your soldiers are vanilla or a mod?
  10. Well, I don't know if it will be possible, but I think it would be a great idea to add the possibility of implement a third "faction" in the editor, Neutral units. Maybe could be considered allies or enemies to both sides, Blue and Red. This neutral units could be, for example, civilians and non combatant units, so that a town really feels like a town, not a bunch of buildings where nobody lives. They could have a value on points, for example in a Blue vs. Red battle, perhaps Blue earns more points if almost no Neutrals are killed. I know there is an option to choose "civilian density" on maps, but it's not the same. Another example of Neutral units could be abandoned cars, so they would offer protection to your units without having to set them as yours... I hope you understand what i'm trying to say, my english is not 100% good . Thanks for your time.
  11. Ok, thanks for your replies guys. I didn't know about the FAQ, i'll take a look at it as soon as i have time. Question answered, Moderators can close this thread.
  12. Hi, I've just downloaded Marines (at last!!!) and I've seen all the stuff of the license key, having to activate when i first run Marines and all that. As this is a license question, I'm not sure if this post should go here or in the Technical Support Subforum, so if I missed the place, I'm really sorry. Well, I work in a cibercafe, and as i have plenty of free time there, I ussually take some of my games to play in there, sometimes CMSF. The PCs are configured to delete any changes made after reboot, so none of the games I install remain there. My question is: if i store my Marines instalation file in a CD and install it in one of the PCs of my jobplace, will I have to do all the license thing again, or one activation is just enough? If I have to, is there a limit on how many times I can install it? I know my questions may sound a little strange, but CMSF is one of my favourite games and I like to play a battle or two when I have the chance. That's all, thanks for your time
  13. It's a common SecuROM error, I got it with several other games. Have you got installed tools as DaemonTools, Alcohol 120% or any other program that can create a virtual drive? If you have, disable any virtual drive created, and if it doesn't work, uninstall any of those programs and try again. I hope this helps
  14. Hi, maybe some of you remember me, my last post was about the 1.08 patch and its incompatibility with the Spanish version of the game (distributed by Friendware). At the present day Friendware hasn't developed a patch yet, but this is not why i'm here. I know that in the CMSF: Marines announce page it's said that the module works for every version of CMSF around but, will the spanish version work with it? Or will I have to wait till Friendware release a commercial version here? I hope you understand my worries, I don't want to spend 35$ in a game i won't be able to use, and the spanish version seem to be different in some way to other releases... That's all for now, thanks for your attention
  15. Thanks for the fast reply, Martin. I've just received a message from the distributor, where they tell me that the patch won't come out until September . I'll have to wait...
  16. Hi, i own the spanish version of CM:SF and it comes fully updated to the 1.07 version (the price for being waiting for the game almost a year). When I tried to upgrade it to 1.08, I found none of the three versions of the patch was right for the spanish version. I sent a mail to the distributors (Friendware) and they told me that the spanish version would require a fourth patch, and that it was being created by that time. This was two months ago. My question is: will you make upgrades for the spanish CM:SF? I hope you do, really. One more question: CM:SF Marines... Will it be spanish version compatible? (I'm afraid I know the answer to that last question...)
  17. At last I managed to buy CMSF in Spain. Yes, I know it has been released worlwide about 1 year ago, but in Spain we had to wait till this month. The good thing: the game is already patched to 1.07 ^^. The bad thing: I cannot seem to patch it to 1.08... My game seems to be the Paradox Interactive version and that's the patch I download (241 Mb), but after the patching when I try to run the game I get an error message saying that a wrong disc is inserted. The disc IS in, and I am not using cracks, mods or anything, just a vanilla installation of CMSF and the 1.08 patch. If I deinstall and install the game again, I have no problems at all. Am I the only one with this problem? EDIT: Well, finally there's no SecuROM bug with the spanish version. I've mailed the company who distributes the game in Spain (Friendware) and as our game is a different distro, it requires a different 1.08 patch that hasn't been released yet, without the f%&$*ng SecuROM protection (in fact, with the 1.07 I can play without the CD on the drive!). So I'll have to wait a bit longer for the 1.08. Anyway, thanks for the fast reply. [ April 07, 2008, 06:53 AM: Message edited by: Fenix ]
