    Exactly. I was working with same "Go and occupy empty Leader place" theory... But now we know it was wrong...

    An M1A2 without APS against AT-4Cs and AT-14s.  900m distance from each other.  In one test, the M1 is facing away from the ATGM.  In the other, it is facing 90 deg from the ATGM.

    AT-14 fires and the LWS on the M1 immediately cause the M1 to rotate towards the threat and within about 15 seconds spots the ATGM.  This happens in both facings.

    AT-4 fires multiple times in both scenarios and the M1 never spots the ATGM before being destroyed.

    As mentioned above, the LWS is the difference.  In the older SACLOS missiles, the M1 has a very hard time seeing the firing unit, unless the M1 is looking in that direction.  With a laser guided missile, the LWS automatically orients the turret to the threat and allows rapid detection.

    I haven't done a full test on the top of line T-90, but I think it will be similar.   I remember in CMSF, the automated LWS on the T-90 allowed the T-90 to spot laser guided ATGM teams.

    I only ran the tests 5-6 times each, but its consistent enough to create the supposition.  This at leasts appears to be a reasonably realistic outcome.  Its more realistic than Steel Beasts, which gives AI tanks uncanny spotting abilities with ATGM.

    i just wanted to let you know about my latest discovery.

    When my brave pixelsoldiers leave BMP or BTR there is leader missing. This is known to all of us. Some of us split the squad and bring somebody back to help spot better. Some of us bring another man or men there. I usually bring there single soldier - Igla trooper. Also known to all of us.

    And here is the point i was doing wrong all the time.

    In editor or QB i just bought Igla trooper - loaded it into the BMP or BTR and then during the game when other soldiers left the vehicle i was sure that there is this Igla soldier there and that he is helping to spot better! I was sure he is in the position of the leader!

    I was soooo wrong!

    The position of the leader depends from how your soldiers enter the vehicle! Usually i just bought the Igla soldier, loaded him inside and send them all to fight.

    I discovered that in the editor or during setup i must unload everybody and then load 1st soldier or soldiers i want later to play the leader role. When you save it in the editor it stays like this in scenario too. 

    So probably all of you out there knew this before, if not use it to fight better :)

    But I don't have CMBS. Make sure that CM runs fine without reshade: rename opengl.dll and opengl.ini in CM program folder to something else and see if it works.

    After renaming CMBS works fine. I have to say, that game start very slow, quite long time is there black screen and i must wait up to 60 sec then it goes. Maybe i have too much mods?

    I just installed it and have got it running. I haven't played with the shaders, but with two out of the box preset shaders that come with reshade, I got very good results in replacing the ingame movie mode with better colors and with fully working anti aliasing.

    System: Win10, Nvidia GTX960m

    Here's what you do:

    Download Reshade 3.1

    Install

    When asked during installation download fx-shader presets? YES

    Running reshade it asks for the executable of the game you want to work with. Choose one. I chose FB.

    When starting FB it crashed.

    Go to the CM game data folder (usually in "Documents"). There you should see a "reshade-shaders" folder.

    Rename "Shaders" and "Textures" in that folder to something else (e.g. Shaders_ Textures_)

    Create a new "Shaders" folder. Into that folder you only copy those shaders you want to work with.

    To have an instantly better looking movie-mode with working anti-aliasing, from the renamed "Shaders_" copy to "Shaders" folder:

    ReShade.fxh

    Levels.fx

    Technicolor.fx

    For fun you can also copy other shaders, like Nighvision.fx or Monochrome.fx

     

    Start CM.

    Press SHIFT + F2

    Now you should see the ReShade config menu as an overlay within the game, where the shaders you copied into the folder, should be listed.

    Choose one, i.e. "Monochrome".

    The changes take effect immediately.

    The game becomes b/w.

    If that works, deselect Monochrome and select "Levels" and "Technicolor".

    Voila! A good looking movie mode with fully working anti-aliasing.

     

    When you are satisfied with your settings, go into ReShade's SETTINGS menu and switch from "Configuration Mode" to "Performance Mode". Which allegedly gives an even better performance.

     

    With these two shaders activated I do not recognize a noticeable performance hit (ReShade allows to display the frame rate!).

    Amazing software!

     

     

    Thanx for good advice, i have Acer Aspire V17 Nitro with Nvidia Geforce GTX 960M and Win10

    I did as you told, but CMBS is crashing. Only when i run with game with integrated graphics i am able to start the game and get into ReShade. When running with Nvidia graphic processor - crash. So i updated my graphic driver to the latest one 390.65 and run clean driver install, restarted notebook and CMBS crashed again. Even with administration rights. You have to know that long time ago i played with nvidia Profile Inspector, but with clean driver install it should be corrected. Or not?

    How it is possible, that ReShade doesnt work?

  6. What i really would like to know are not infos like game will be in engine 4.0 and then copy taste what all engine 4.0 can do... This we allready know!

    Will be there in CMSF2 Russian Forces with all toys to play including planes?

    Will Syrians have UAV and planes?

    Can we have something like counter battery fire?

    ISIL forces will be on US Side when choosing forces?

    Modules stay modules or they will be included from beginning? 

     

    I am sure others will have more questions to follow...

Personally I loved playing it until the game engine just felt too old and with the new game engine, more control over QBs and the play enhancements, I think it'll be a great title again.

    I have CMSF and all modules. I paid it once. Now i have to pay it again to get new engine only? Really would like to know what else do we get. Thats my question.

  8. Just question. Can you make more hulls with different tactical numbers please? Now i have clone BTR-4 army :)

    If not possible please do hull without tactical number then.

    Is the back od this combat turret really flat and nothing there?

    Anyway now UA vehicles looks so maskirovka greenish pixelish digitalish cool :) Thanx!
