  1. One thing we are definitely going to work on is introducing more uncertainty into the spotting/identification system. There aren't enough "shades of gray" in the system as it is now. That's because the CMx2 is so much more literal than the CMx1 code it's actually more difficult to be imprecise. Counter intuitive, I know, but 'tis the truth ;)

    Steve

    Schwing!

    Looking forward to this.

  2. If you bought the game after a certain date (can't remember) the key will be on your BF account on the BF main web page.

Just log on then go to "my account" and then to "account maintenance" then click the order record for CM:SF and it should have the key in it.

If you have no luck there send an email to BF support and they'll send you your key.

  3. I like the new "bug out" feature for infantry and vehicles but I'm having trouble with my units doing it when I really need them to not do it.

Can there be an order that stops them from bugging out unless their morale drops too low?

Situations that are happening are things like an overwatch tank is hit by a missile but takes no serious damage and crew are not panicked or anything but they reverse out of the LOF leaving other units in danger.

  4. I was plesantly surprised by the movie, it was actually quite well made.

I thought I wouldn't like Tom speaking with an American accent but after a bit I deided I liked it more than english with a German accent. It had allot of tense moments which were well done.

It seemed to follow the same plot (obviously!) as the German Valkyrie (Stauffenberg) movie I watched the night before I saw it, some of the scenes are almost identical.

  5. I love shooting tanks through buildings, I used to think that sabot rounds didn't work that way in SF (after they were stopped by bushes, is that a bug since it happens allot to me). If the enemy has tanks and I don't need my HEAT shells, I just dump them all into the ground and use pure SABOT. The SABOT on the M1A2 will go through a maps worth of buildings and still kill a tank at the other end, came in real handy on the last mission in the Marines campaign (if you've played it you'll remember the enemy tank I'm thinking of)!

As for 1.2 I'm hoping for some improvments on the way SF loads and release data for medium-large senarios. At the moment if you load a large senario you have to exit the game and reset the system memory before you start another senario otherwise you get reduced performance. You also can't load a save on a large senario twice without restarting the game in between, it will just sit on 2% loading forever if you don't.
