  1. Yes, copy all the paragraph you get after introducing your license (after you hit the "Save License Request to File"), then press "Open Off-line License URL" here is where you have to paste it, after doing so you get a new huge paragraph , that's the important one. Copy it (for security make a txt file with it) and then press "Install off-line License" but don't press the button that asks you to look for the save file, just paste the previous paragraph in the white box, then Activate, Voila! you should have your game activated and be able to play it.

    Hope this helps.

  2. If you activated the game there's nothing to worry about.

When I was activating it off line I saved the long text pressing the button it comes in the web page (phase 2 of installation), when I tried to load it the installer just froze so I could not select and load the file saved to activate the game (phase 3).

I had previously closed IE so I didn't have all the long text I could have copied into the installer to activate the game. Fortunately IE recovered the web page with all the data needed, and I copy pasted to activate.

  3. Hi all:

It had not happened to me before but, as some of you, I also got the error 12 that stands for the firewall blocking internet comunication. It has not happened with any of the other games and I have them all. I have N360 v5.0. I think it's not right to blame it all on the antivirus firms, if it hadn't happened before and now it does it's not us customers the ones who have to notify the antivirus company but imo the developers, this said with all due respect.

Ok no problem I installed it using the manual process. But here let me warn you that once you get the license activated make sure to copy the whole text into a txt file, reason is that if you click on the save button option it creates a file but then when the game asks you to select it, it freezes. I think it has an asp extension and I don't know what program will open it. So best thing to do is to copy paste the whole activation txt into a file and then paste it when you're activating the game.

Now where I want to get is: How are we going to unlincense if we ever want to? I tried to unlincense just to see if I could but it was not possible, no connection that's error 12 again even if I disable the antivirus and firewall completely.

I believe the game comes with 2 activations unlike SCWW1 where the procedure was changed.

    Any solutions? Thanks

  4. Road to the Sea victory conditions must be flaw, Isnogud captured all obejctive cities last turn but the game did not splash the victory screen for the allies, I said ok once he destroys my two units left it will be the end of the game but no!, he sent me next turn and the game kept on, or so to say I don't have any units nor towns left.

So Bill, Hubert could you please check this out.

Komandant I'll send you the save so can see he met the Decisive Victory conditions.

  5. Hi guys:

I got to test exe files from Hubert and as he has already said, they solved the problem for me, I have Win7 64bit Ultimate and the scrolling ran slower than in Win Xp.

When I ran the game under his two new test exe files, both ran cool and smooth no more slugginesh, I had turn off FOW and NM indicator was on as to test it at the hardest conditions (1914 and 1917 campaigns) the only place the scrolling slowed a bit was in France, but this is normal as its the most dense unit area. Also the speed over France increased after the first scrolls as I guess it is loaded into the ram memory.

I hope other testers get the same performance as me.

As always Huber gives great support. Congratulations.

  6. Update 2. The problem seems to be due or somehow connected with the quantity of units in the screen. The lag increases according to the density of units in the screen. When moving in empty zones (like see ones), the lag disappears. In other zones (mostly the french/german border) the lag reaches tops of almost a second (click -> actual selection of unit; mouse movement -> actual map scrolling).

While I'll be fine playing a slow game, this is kind of annoying, I reapeat, it is more than slow.

    Thanks again for the answers.

    Ricroma

I have noticed this issue, and believe it or not when I play under win7 (64 bits) it is worser than under Win Xp, even when under Xp it is not taking advantage of the full memory (6gb) that win 7 recognizes.

It's the same pc with two HD, the one with XP I'd say it's 45 % full and the other for Win 7 is almost empty.

With Xp the map scrolls quite fast, kind of sluggish under Win 7 in high density unit areas, basicly the west front.

Anyway I have been playing it almost everyday since release, (using Xp ;))

  7. Hi

The USA is now much less likely to enter the war if you don't do anything to upset it.

But her readiness will rise very slightly from 1917. However, it will be very slow and probably means joining the Entente in 1919 or 1920, if at all, and only if the game hasn't been won before.

It sounds like you have an opportunity to finish off Russia and then turn your attention to France. Using unrestricted attacks on the UK will help in reducing the UK's economy and therefore the British ability to help defend France, so it may be worthwhile.

As the US takes a while to build an army and ship it to Europe, I personally wouldn't worry too much about it and would carry out some unrestricted warfare against the UK. Not enough to bring the USA in, but enough to mess up the UK's income for a while.

Only problem here is that I'm playing the TE and my opponent the CP ;), and Russia collapsed in our last turn, I think it was mid september, so I'm pretty much doomed once he moves his armies from the east

Hope you enjoyed your holidays! and thanks for replying.

  8. That could be the Zimmerman Telegram, as the Central Powers have a chance to play that card early in 1917.

I've just checked and the AI is set to always send the telegram. This is something that we'll need to take a look at and change because it would probably be better off not sending it more often than not!

There shouldn't be anything apart from Zimmerman that could make US mobilization jump circa 50% in a very short period of time.

But if you or anyone else playing multiplayer notice anything strange then please let us know.

Well I'm playing a 1.02 version game, call to arms scenario. We're in june16th 1917 and my opponent has not used his subs in the NM areas, nor declared unrestricted uboat warfare. US NM was at a maximum of 7, then dropped to 3 when I decided to declare war on Germany with Italy, so he had to divert forces to southern Germany, last turn it raised from 3 to 5.

My question will the US will ever enter the war, and if it does can it change things? I have not sent any of it's production to England along the game, instead I invested in IT and I have level 2. Even if it enters the war it has to produce an army and transpor it across the Atlantic, don't think there is time left for all that.

Russia is about to collapse, and her frontline is a loophole.

Was anyhting changed in v1.03? Will it be changed in v1.04?

    Thanks.
