Ofcourse I don't know if maps are used by multiple missions. But i don't think they will.
It's not in right now, but let's hope skirmish will be added later.
And I don't know how big custom missions/maps will be, but maybe you could download those to CD somewhere and then add them to your game.
Sounds fair enough, it may not be total realism, but it's a game, the soldiers on the gamefield aren't as smart and self-thinking as their real-life human counterparts were, so you have to help them a little.
Same here, been hyped up en checking every day since they said that a release was planned for early september....
I guess that is why they don't give dates and timetables anymore.
Here it is, from the latest Blog:
"...Part of this is thanks to us becoming a Software Partner of Intel and piloting one of their new marketing aids called Campaign Center. Theatre of War is multi-core enabled and optimized, so don't be surprised if you start seeing the Intel logos on some of those ads or even on our site as "officially licensed Intel partner" soon...."
I've read that alot of info will be in XML format, I don't know about the maps, but maybe the units you start with will be stored in a XML file, that would mean easy editing
