  2. Two Weeks . . . Be Sure
Lol I hope it's out in 2 weeks, want to make campaigns that are not a up hill battle all the way to berlin, or moscow or paris or... didn't know europe was one big hill in whatever direction you go myself ;) maybe Rommel lost because the desert was one huge hill upward toward wherever the British were heh.

Speaking of which, release tools to allow us to change textures and have some desert campaigns..thanks. Why there is no desert combat/campaign in tow I have no idea.

  3. well sherman's were called tommy cookers for a reason and it wasn't due to good armor protection. many sherman crews did not sing it's praise it was quite the opposite. The tank however was designed to be mass produced and not around significant armor or crew protection with it's focus being on numbers vs the enemy not quality ;) They are tougher in the game then they were in reality I have seen that from playing most of the campaigns. I mean when it took 5 sherman tanks to defeat I german tiger and at that trying for rear shots and they lost 4 in the process, that says something about the survivability of the sherman's in reality but also about the bravery of it's crews in combat.

  4. yep once the tracks are out they are pretty much fubar and can easily be attacked from sides or rear and the good thing about ferdinands is they have no heavy mg defense unlike the elephants only a main gun but I also noticed that after a few good hits generally the enemy crews will panic and leave the tank/spg to which I easily capture them later lol. If you are very lucky you can penetrate the thin under carriage/belly especially if they are at a increased elevation to your guns. I use atg's and inf a lot and they are very useful in several ways.

  5. I did by changing the always 100 to 1 odds no matter what side you take to a better advantage in the mission editor. For heavily armored enemy vehicles aim low to defeat them easier.

  6. oh could you please add to the patch the ability to give armored half tracks and armored cars a rotate command. Why you can't and it's disabled is beside me.Also the ability to use captured vehicles and equipment normally would be nice since they are not useable in the next mission of any campaign.

  7. Yes in certain situations it is easy, but you can't sneak up to a target when you have no cover like hill tops etc which was my point even with long grass, I know I do it all the time because I always send out scouts. The other point is also that with the prone command they shouldn't be popping their dangit heads up ;)

"Mostest folks are struggling cos this is a totally new model"

no it's a faulty model not totally new. Actually compared to some damage models I have seen it's fairly average.I really don't see any huge advanced damage model or penetration models, and to that I have even seen some inconsistent things in the game.Like I said earlier, you have to take the game for what it is and a realistic rts it is not. Still has some fun potential but replayability is not one of them.

  8. "LoS is extremely realistic in this game"

no it's not, the los is half done in this game.Never mind the fact the enemy can see you before you see it rofl, and fire at your troops well behind the lines outside of any chance in hell they could be realistically spotted by the enemy.

I don't know where you get your info but most of what you said doesn't happen much if at all in the game. For 1, good luck sneaking any troops through the grass if there is no hill/s to cover them. kiss them good bye because grass etc provides no realistic cover at all in this game otherwise.

"In reality, you can never be sure whether you have been spotted by an enemy or not. THIS is where the game is peeing its effectively 'newbie' players "

In reality that is why you have scouts rofl, and most of us are not new players, a lot of us are rts veterans and have a diverse games base to judge from. Some of us are even beta testers so please don't put the blame on people being newbs it's lame.

  9. and i shouldnt need to work around it, the game developers should
yep but how often does that really happen ;)

just going to post a example... I couldn't play COH and another game ( forget what it was now ) due to constant ctd and crashes. Once I increased my ram timings from the bios default essentially over clocking them a bit from what they were correctly in the bios then voila ! no more ctd and crashes ever since.
