Are we gonna get some kind of lobby for MP?

Hell it even has its own entry on Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-time_tactics
I just wish game developers had the guts to use the term some more, to differentiate games like this from the standard RTS genre.

It would be better to class it as a RTT (Real time tactics) game anyway. But the standard RTS term is still used so the RTS crowd wont be confused although there are significant differences in gameplay.

It is pretty easy to find the exact location and orbit of a satellite. Turning off the signal would not help anything, unless the sats can change orbit after detecting an enemy missile launch.Originally posted by Aacooper:How will the Chinese find the GPS satellites if we turn off GPS when they launch a missle?

A GPS reciever doesnt send anything to the satellites. Every satellite sends a continous telemetry signal that a reciever then use to calculate the position.Originally posted by Battlefront.com:The problem with GPS in OIF1 was simply one of bandwidth demands. At least that's all I've heard of. Far too many devices requesting GPS far too frequently for the ability of the sats to handle the requests.

edit: I do recall something about a communications breakdown. Too little bandwidth and too many units sending info. Maybe that is what you are thinking about?

Tried the demo but units and control seems very RTS like. I certainly hope ToW is very different than this.

So I guess the silence means there is no lobby and only direct IP?
