  1. I usually advane F T a little behind inf. but they still seem to be singled out for obliteration. I will go back to manual for range, that seems obvious now . thanks
  2. What about attacking in depth? Some of the large maps / battles default set up everyone is spread from one end to another. should you stack your set up and gradually spread out to cover flanks? Inf.,armour , guns and support , then reserve inf.?
  3. I too am scared spitless of playing against another human. I have been playing awhile against AI and I still suck big. Listening to youse guys I am sure I would suck even bigger. I would have to change my account name every time! Having so many scenarios I am content in the obscure ranks of "Also Played". for now
  4. How do you keep these guys alive? I had a russian squad pinned down with 2 rifle squads, advanced a F T team to within 10 m and were instantly pinned with 1 round fired and then eliminated! (they also had cover along side a stone fence). I don't know how to use these guys or where or when who can help?
  5. Do buildings offer any cover as you aproach them? I've had squads pinned down while advancing behind light 1 story buildings. this kinda bugs me. Ive also had pinned squads stop 5m short of a building and crawl away out into the open . ARGH!And yes,the buildings I am talking about are empty. :mad:
  6. I must say that is a particularily hard scenario! I left my support mg's in the forest as well as my arty to supress the trenches and got all my infantry into position at the bottom of the road by turn 12 and thought "no problem now". I just couldn't seem to advance my inf. up the road without getting sliced apart.A couple of squads got up to the road block but that was it.For some reason my 75mm refused to lay in any smoke!?! That really foiled my advance. Can anyone tell me why?I also had 2 psw222's at the beginning of my advance but ended up with a major defeat! Just too much Ivan in that one!
  7. I have been testing a scenario over and over and every air strike comes in @ different times no matter if its "for sure" on turn _ or not. I don't have a problem with that as so many other orders get re-interpreted anyway.
