  2. Hello I will try that sort of things, and I have work for ten years... But we must wait the game and see what is exactly possible. The time in long, Hubert. Please, go fast ! When I will begin to work seriously, after buying it ( Work faster, Hubert ! ), I will open a "mods thread" on the french forum CYBERSTRATEGE (written in french and in english). All my mods mods will be in french and english, if my automatic translator accept to correctly work. I will probabely begin with : 1/ " 2D" generic mod 2/ "War of Falklands-1982", But in first : I will give me a period for training and learning the game.
  3. Certainly not : They had no military engineering of France. French operations in 1940 were a model of the kind : recession of the centre, feint, then recession again, and again, and again, and again, again, again and to finish, envelope by wings with the angles and Saxon mercenaries and grip with lapel. Obviously, that took 4 years, but this plan was absolutely brilliant. I think that GB or USA would not be able to elaborate and perfectly excute this great operation... Only France can do that sort of brillant things

  5. No problem for the time ! I am a serial obsessionnal modmaker and SC1 ( and now SC2) is now my only game : I have waited for that sort of game during 10 yers ! I will do the job ! Agent Smith: Thanks for the links, I will explore the counters of these wargames.
  6. Wouaaaaa ! Hubert is a little big great man : I want him for President !! I had to work very hard and hard and hard in the past time for learning to create scripts of "Rise of Nations" with triggers, and "barbarian" instructions like if, while,do, for, etc... (bases of C language and I am without studies about that) and I was afraid to start again that sort of thing. So, with simply text, it will be easy. Vive Hubert !
  7. But what is the used language for these scripts ? Based on triggers and conditions like : if { } etc... ? Or "special simply Strategic command 2 language" ? (it will be more easy) Do the game include HELP SECTION for realizing scripts ?
  8. One question, please : Will the scenario/map editor include a script editor, like a game as "Rise of Nations" ? Or will the scenario/map editor include "only" a list of complentary events (I will prefer that : more easy to work with in modding).

Other suggestion : It would be nice to organize here espace for downloading (mods, icons, patches, utilities, etc...) : I think due the game will be 10000 % moddable with unit, countries, map and scenarios editors, you will have a great number of different mods : 14-18, Pacific war, Civil war, american independance war, Spain civl war, Russian civil war, war of Falklands, Roman empire, etc... It would be good to concentrate them here

  11. Thanks. My icons are only projects in work, and after buying the game, I will see exactly what I can do for the best... Little S.O.S for testing players : if somebody has the game for testing it, it woul be nice to just send me the bitmap files of units and terrain : my work will advance faster and will be awailable when the game is ready...

  15. I will give the files for all players on Filesshack after the work will be finished. TAll the maps I will create with my hexagones will be "2D3 and not "3D". But effectively, the 8 tiles are a big problem and it will probably more easy to advance rigth or left than advance top, by example. If somebony has better counters of classical wargames, I am interrested to have it and work with ! The solution of just turn the grid do not seems for me a solution : the tiles colors will be seen. My project is to do one unique color of ground, and to place hexagones of countries color, with a Qgraphical tip I have founded on .bmp files. Other solution would be to erase tiles, and replace them by points. I will try, and try , and try... I want absolutly to play STRATEGIC COMMAND 2 as a classical wargame (2D) and not as a 3D game. For peolples who like modding, and will do others games with SC2 ( Roman Empire, American Civil war, Russian civil war 1919-1921, West front 1914-1918, balkanik wars 1913, etc...), the 3D graphical units will be a big problem, and the 2D icons will be the solution, I think. Sorry for my bad english. I hope the result of my work will be better than my english...
  16. Tiles will be totally erased and will be replaced by hexagons (I left tiles in the image just to show as I was going to make). At the end, the mod will be : for icons and map : idem SC1 ( work on bitmaps files) for the game-system : SC2 I think Hubert would have better preserved icons, hexagones and map of SC1 : It is very unconfortable to play great strategic level wargame with icons 3D of tactical wargame ( it is just my opinion...). But essentiel is to have this great game : from Roman empire to Gulf war, we will have the possibility to do any wargame we want. Banzaï/ Hurra ! for the great Hubert !

What I will try to do with SC2 : * create new counters, like the counters of SC 1 * use ancient terrain icons of SC1 for SC2 * erase these horribily tiles and replace them by hexagones, like in SC 1 I have some little tips to do that.   22. Wouaaaa! I hoped but I was not sure. I have waited a long time for a game which allows me that. As regards my project of mod on the war of Falklands, I began to collect some documentation, and there are " What if " big possibilities, because it was at the same moment an air, naval and ground battle. So it will be possible to make " mods " for all the periods of the history, the Roman empire in our days: cool... I hope that handwrittings will remain it " bitmaps " and that it will be always possible to modify them with " Paint ". Furysofwar : please, go more fast : I need this game . So, Chain the creator to his work table and do not give him any more holidays!
  23. My project is to realize some mods with STRATEGIC COMMAND 2 when it will appear. In particular a mod on the WAR OF FALKLANDS ( 1982 ). I would like to know if the map editor will allow to modify city names, etc., and if the units éditor will allow to modify QG's names, and to modify the reach of shot of units, their other capacities, etc. (what is not possible in SC1).
