  1. 2 Wish : 1- Hotkey to turn off/on national colors 2- Movement of armor, ships and planes would need to spend a few MPP, even if just tactical movement.
  2. I prepare a new version of the mod which is going to work in a little different way, and there will be no more any confusion: player will immediatly know exactly which unity can attack. This version will perhaps include in the future roads and rail - roads (it is not still sure). For counters like Colombia game, players may stick my counters on SC's original counters and give them a little relief and a shadow. It is very easy to make. I will do perhaps one day, but I have no time actually.

  5. Ok, thanks a lot ! I see now the complete system. More better that I was thinking, with repertory system and configuration with O/1. Excellent ! I think it would be possible to realize roads and railroads with a little tip I have founded (no sure it will work, but I will try). Time will be long during waiting the editor...
  6. I wanted absolutly play the game with a classical "look". I played wargames during 30 years, and I can't play with other thing than classical hexagons (I can not adapt me to the original graphics of the game : SC2 is really very excellent, but I would not buy it if I should not realize classical hex mods with it) I have made this mod for me and for other classical wargamers who want this "classical look". I think it is a good thing to have choice, no ?
  7. The more I examine this game, the more I realize the formidable potentialities of adaptation which it contains. Independently to know if it is realistic on such or such point, if there is such or such small error, etc. (all these points will be adjusted in time due to the suggestions of the players), Strategic Command 2 is for the modding a fantastic tool. I recommended it to the French players on the forum of Cyberstratège, and I hope that they will be very numerous to buy it because any wargamer has to possess it. The only problem with SC2 is : days have only 24 hours, and night, 8 hours.... When am I going to sleep ? Questions for Hubert, about modding : 1/ How did you realize the transformation of *Some mountains in boccage *Quatar depression in Fields ? Graphically, no problem, I see. But how did you proceed in : *Changing cost of movment *Effects on supply *Effects on combats, etc... ? Only with the editor ? 2/ Examining the "localization" file, I founded that : ; Terrain IDs #RIVER= River #FOREST= Forest #MOUNTAIN= Mountain #MARSH= Marsh #DEPRESSION= Depression How can You have ground terrain like FIELDS (Depression) and BOCAGE (Mountains ) in the D-D scenario, without changing the names in the localization files ? These terms (bocage and fileds) are not in the localization file of the demo. I think a such mod would necessary need this sort of changement. There is something I have missed... Can you explain me, please ?

  11. Here is the last version of my "Mod", that give SC2 new graphics. All the game appearence is modified, and the mod is now playing with 2D or 3D, as you prefer. Download the last version of mod (Actualized 08/04/2006 14h30-France) Note that you have to choice the France/Norway campaign in the demo (D. Day scenario is not modded) This last version allow you to play with 3D or 2D, as you prefer ( see the "readme file" ). You may choice options you prefer : National colors off/on, weather on/off : the mod works with the both. I hope that this mod will definitively close the problem of players who don't want buy SC2 due to the fact of they prefer graphics of classical wargames : they will have no longer excuse ! After some explorations in the night, my conclusion is : 1- Great system, more and more better than SC1 2- Enormous possibilities of modding with all periods of history, adding new sounds, icons, etc... : this game is a new univers. The wargame PC I was waiting for during 20 years. Personally, I don't like the 3D isometric graphic system, but change for 2D will be very easy to do. The only problem is that I have to wait the editor for creating adapted 2D maps ( the actual 3D map don't work very beautiful with my 2D system). So, SC2 has taken my first night without sleeping... Hubert Cater is a war player criminal, to have not worked faster for this game ! And a more greatest criminal to have decided to choice the system of "on line key activation". In my opinion, he has to take care : this game will be very addictiv, and players who will be deprived of SC2 would perhaps have in the future very dangerous reactions against him, as "junkies" deprived of their drug...

  20. Yes, without problem: they work exactly as originals counters of the game, and anybody may implant them in few minutes in files games for creating his own scenario/mod as he want. I have made the same thing for : Napoleon Vs Europe (1° Empire) Independance War 1776 American civil war 1861-1865 Franco-Prussian war 1870 Roman Empire (Antiquity) + Alternate WW II Counters So, players will have at the beginning, when the game will be available, the necessary material for first mods.

  22. I will diffuse some materials for modding ("Material modding kit") when the demo will be available. These materials (serie of icons) will allow to modders to realize more faster historical mods you want. These materials will work with 2D-Counters of the game.
