I am getting this wrong or we will be able to create completely different games with the Drop Team engine?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's quite extensible, but there are plenty of things you can't change just by modding. There has to be supporting code for basic behavior, but you can mod with XML and models for content. For example, since the physics engine already has code for wheeled vehicles, you can create new wheeled vehicles, with any number of wheels in any configuration you like, from trikes to 18-wheeler rigs to funky spheres with wheels on top and bottom like some of the exotic designs for Mars Rovers, etc. without a problem. But since the physics engine does not have any code for, say, walking units, you could not create a new "mech" type of unit by simply modding. So, in other words, you can mod to create new or changed versions of existing types of units, but you can't create entirely new types of units (usually, anyway, depending on how creative you are.)

Does tht mean that in order to mod infantry you'd have to write your own code using XML to describe how it moves etc, or will modding infantry (unless on wheels or tracks) will be impossible?

Yes, you can do it, but you risk collision or at the least track damage in most cases. (make sure you rotate the gun to the rear before attempting it ;) )

Very true always make sure to get the latest drivers. For example, updating the drivers for my x800pro made a humongous diffrence. I went from like 3700 sumfink in 3dmark05 to like 4440 ! Thats like ~20% diffrence!
  4. Great idea! CM would be much more fun with more flexible fortifications. An idea I'd like to contriubute is that only engineers could do the complicated stuff. Like normal infantry could just dig foxholes or trenches or make sandbags but engineers could build bunkers, more complicated trenches, modify houses, dig tunnels between houses (like the sewer movement thing in CMBB but no risk of casualies). And what about engineering vehicles, like the trench digging thing on the T72 Balkans on Fire website? That would be awesome.

  5. I don't think that you understood my second question, at the Boots and Tracks website it sais to submint the scores like that : Tourney 1, The Ambush, Fred (Axis) 37, Joe 43. So which tourney am I in?

    Once all games are completed.
Does that mean that the results are posted when all the games are finished or does it mean that you send your scores and AARs once you finished your games?
  6. Yay, done with the Wet Triangle! Where do I send the results and the AAR? What turney am I in? At the Boots and Tracks website it sais that AARs can be submitted in .doc or .pdf format, can I make .doc and .pdf files using Microsoft Word? It also sais that AARs can be posted as a web page, does that mean that I cen send an HTML file to Kingfish or wherever I'm supposed to send the AARs?
