Great info GAZ..Originally posted by GAZ:I thought id post this up
I found it interesting the ranges mentioned for successful sniping shots and i thought i might share and let you compare to the accuracy in the game across CMBB and CMAK.....
Can I put this info on the cmwiki?
If it is ok? Or perhaps you would like to insert the text, it would be great
-
We are beginning to build up some info about that at the cmwiki.
Check out there if there anything of interest.
Its action and commands are very similiar to CMBB. One of the major enhancements to CMAK over CMBB was dust. This dust can be stirred up from moving vehicles, firing weapons, or falling ordnance. It also covered for the first time multiple turrets - useful for the Lee/Grant tank and the early Churchill. -
How about making some kind of summary for all thoughts mentioned in this forum..
Perhaps then it will me more easy to see what ppl wants?
Well what do I know, I still like the good "old" CM

If you still looking for someone to host the pictures just send me a mail and we fix something up. I would be happy to help out.Originally posted by David I:I just got back from a WWII reinactment at Camp Roberts CA. There was alot of armor there. I was a crew member (bow gunner/radioman) in a Stuart. I got pic's of Shermans, the Tiger from Saving Private Ryan, SPW 222, 231 and 250/1, British 6 pounder, etc. I would love to post them but I canna ken the URL system. If I emailed someone the pic's would someone out there be willing to post?

PS I should have posted this at CMAK, oh well.

We have started up the cmwiki.
There you can look up resourses, tactics..
You name it.
The fun part it that we all can be part of the creation process
Now we are a few who worked up the structure and are beginning to dig in to the topics.
But you are always welcome to help out
Well, I hope that this will be of some good to the community.

Now the Index is sorta finished.Originally posted by markl:Well I have registered at Wiki, hopefully it will work out ok. But I will be mainly a reader only, being a casual player.
Cheers MarkL
And a few members started editing on the site.
Thanks guys!

Thanks for the comments.
I published a Wiki over at the CMBBdb.
There we could collect goodies to help out beginners, veterans and eachother with the game?
-
-
I started working with it tonight.
The good thing about a Wiki is that the members
totaly decides how it will look and evolve.
If someone wants to make a page about tactics, he/she only makes an internal link and start the tactics section. The same goes for history, rants, thoughts or whatever the members decide.
All pages are editble to members and they can also create new ones.
So, I guess it will go public next week.
And hopefully many CM players will visit and share their experiences in it.

I'm planning to start up a Wiki, where we can collect good stuff.Originally posted by para:Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me if there is anywhere on this site were all the strategy/tips and tricks posts are kept in one place..i have looked and all i can see is excellent posts about the above then followed by dozens of other posts agreeing or disagreeing with the author... i just want to print off the authors posts only....not every tom dick and harry's ..no offence
But I don't know if there is any interest to wite in it.
I put out a poll at the CMdb pages to see if there is any interest, but now it seems pretty low..

Thanks for the comments.Originally posted by capitano_gino:I am having some problem.
ie when I go to Italiy and clik on armor/medium tank
I see only the L6. The same for the infantry (only three kind) and so on.
Befor the update I could see all the units without problem!
However is an excellent site. Congratulation
About Italy in CMBB, they are not represented with so many units. They have "only" 2 kind of armor that I know of, represented in BB.
But in AK it's much more.
The Infantry tab is CMBBdb sorted in sub menus. For example the Infantry Tab:
Infantry »
Mechanized »
Mountain »
Ski »
Support »
There you will find some more units.
But it wont be as many as in AK.
Pls. correct me if I'm wrong about the Italy representation in BB

Not at the moment no..Originally posted by Yskonyn:Are there plans for a downloadable version too? For those times you're not connected to the net, but still want to check out the various stats?
It's quite alot of dependencies with mysql, php and some other stuff..
For offline work look at Chris Excel chart.

CMx2 unit encyclopedia question.
in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Posted
Hi..
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before.
Is there going to be some kind of unit encyclopedia/register in the game.
I'm thinking if there is any idea to create a "CMx2 whatever name and place of the first module" database
If you know or will tell that it, else time will show
Something like the ol cmakdb but more user editable fields.
Where users can add the values on units an so on..
Regards Folke..
