...and if I´d only be PasiOriginally posted by Simovitch: Thanks for the endorsement Pasi. -
Wanted to advertise this as our PT kinda failed and I bet you want a better one.Originally posted by: SergeiThanks for the advertisement, I could really use another test on this one - but before anyone starts it, let me know and I'll have some refinements made based on the first test.
This scenario deserves another playtest for sure. The map is great made from aerial recon photos and IIRC WWII maps from the region. Hard fighting from turn one. I just gambled and ended up losing bigtime. Hope you get someone to play this!

Sounds interesting
There is never enough information around.
There is something like your idea going on at TPG
unders Faq/Tools you´ll find Research and Design Tips sections. Good stuff, especially for designers and those who are taking up designing. There will also be a tactics section started sometime soon.

Hi
I was forced to throw in the towel at battle 2 after my Awesome opponent Simovitch steamrolled over my brave Finnish fighters in Tali Operation. It is meant to be played H2H. It can be downloaded from
Hats up to anyone who can stop those Russians H2H

I have played and enjoyed all these mentioned. Great scenarios and I think they should be played to get a great rollercoaster ride. 50+ turns is not a lot with these! Just when you think you are making progress you get pounded back.. ..just when you think it is time to retreat you´ll get some more REALLY fun toys to play with to shoot up the enemy again
I can highly recommend these. Enjoy!

...and you have enabled it to allow using cmak cmbo cmbb...from the exceptions by adding program then choosing cmak etc. ? I am not sure if it works or not, this way. Have not tried since I have it turned off. There are other better firewalls than the internal firewall available in the internet free of charge. Using these is not my ballgame either because I have a very good firewall free of charge distributed from my internet service provider.
-
Have you switched off the internal firewall? (from security options at preferences) that could create problems with connecting...I would recommend that you use distribute firewall only and swhitch off the internal for good. If you have both running might cause some other trouble too. If you don´t have a distributed firewall get one or get some other firewall than the XP internal.

HI Mad_Mine
Not to my knowledge. Unless somebody makes a mod that makes british units look like paratroopers. That means that they only look like them but the quality is not the same. Changing years isn´t that bad of an option. I think there are some mod specialist who know better though...

...and if you are looking for a good series to play in cmak I can warmly recommend the HSG 3rd Armoured Division scenarios!

Hi Skolman
Ok what suits the best. All I can say is that, if you decide to play the campaign I recommend that more experienced player plays as Finns. Our campaign was tough and long as my opponent was equal in skill. I played as the Russians and banged my head against stubborn defence. For the first battles but the tide turns about half way through...if you want to keep track you can contact me and I can send you the spreadsheet empty...it isn´t amything fancy but something to follow the progress of this campaign. Hope you guys find something fun for CMAK too.

I was just trying to make a point that there were many huge encirclements (and other battles) in the east front. For example june 27 1941 Panzergruppe Guderian and Hoth encircled 300000 russians along with 2500 tanks within the Minsk pocket. This was the first of the great pockets they did during WWII (Panzerkrieg pg 103.)
All due respect, Sir I was not trying to put down the great Battle of Bulge. Just making a point that these mighty clashes happened in ostfront too but are not as much know as
is not going to sell his movies across the worldUkrainian Igor SczctenovskyAs x-mas is knocking on our doors we can IMHO stop for a second and think what was going on in Belgium 60yrs ago

...stop killing meProducing such a film would be very costly (unless you opt for CGI tanks), and to make that investment pay itself back it'd have to have potential of attracting wide audiences (yes, including WOMEN - meaning that there has to be heterosexual romance, fortunately Soviets had female tankers so...). But as a historical topic 'Kursk' isn't exactly a cash magnet comparable to 'Titanic'
How about making it Bob The Builder style tanks with eyes noses and mouthWhat kind of plot would a film about tank battle have, anyway? Films usually concentrate on people, not weapon systems (unless the tanks are given faces and personalities - if this was an animation, it could work)
Man you ought to tell Renny Harlin about this idea of yours "Ivanov's Heroes", in which yefreiter Ivanov hears about a huge German cognac depot and gathers a taskforce of the willing to liberate the beverages...-LT

I agree, the Ostfront is the last frontier of warmovies. Battle of the Bulge sure was a legendary encirclement battle but, sizewise in men and equipment, it is nothing compared to those big encirlement battles throughout WWII at Ostfront. IMHO the huge battles fought in there would probably intrest movie audiences through the world too even if it is not a mainstream topic...there were heroes on Ostfront too

I have played the whole VC campaign H2H with an opponent at same level of skill. Mostly tcp/ipd through it but always had a pbem going on for the next battle. After completing one changed the pbem to tcp/ip and started the nextone on pbem. Also made a small spreadsheet about the campign. If you are interested contanct me.

Same thing happened to me and my opponent...I did as instructed and sure as **ll didn´t choose the hotseat mode...my opponent had the same problem. He could watch the action phase and make his moves. After clicking GO the axis password thingy appears
luckily we weren´t too far at the battle if there is no way to fix this problem than to start over...if anyone has a solution I would be happy to know. Other than this "minor" problem here thanks for the new patch
