  1. I dont think any smart Stryker crewman would stop and think, "maybe if I shoot my .50cal at this T-72, I might dammage his sensors/kill someone who is unbuttoned". In real life they would probably say "O, S&*#!",pop smoke and try to get out of LOS ASAP with as little fuss and contact as possible. Besides, how many of your .50cal rounds do you think would actually hit the T-72 while you are freaking out and trying to get away? The smoke works very fast these days, it definately would help give an instant screen.

  2. So far 1.03 seems pretty cool. One BUG I am having though is that sometimes vehicles will stop moving along their plotted courses when they reach the start of the next segment in their plotted path, dont remember seeing this in 1.01 or 1.02. I'm have to replot to get them moving. The bug is occuring maybe once out of every 15 or 20 multi part vehicle patchs.

Also, I really dont know if my very bad game performance is a bug or not, maybe you all or someone from BF could tell me. Its been this way since the beggining. I'm getting really low framerates with this hardware config on these settings.

I'm running CM:SF on balanced level graphics.

    OS: Windows XP pro

    MOBO: Intel DG965wh

    CPU: Core 2 E6600

    RAM: 2GB of DDR2 800

    GFX-Card: ATI Radeon X1900

    Sound Card: Creative Audigy 2zs

    all drivers/bios current

Sound like a bug or is the game just this way?

    thanks for any help

  3. I would also like to know how wind and all the other environmental conditions affect the game mechanics. Temperature obviously affects fatigue and wind obviously affects smoke.

Does wind and/or temperature affect artillery or air support missions/weapons in any way?

Can IR guided weapons be affected by IR background clutter in the game?

Does a strong wind significantly affect ballistics, rockets and missles in this game, especially older Russian wire guided missiles ones?

  4. The release probably will be late in the day thursday. :( extreme crushing depression grips me, I may not make it through this night. I hereby bequeef my cat to BF, its currently enroute to your office as we speak, my boxers are now on auction, any takers? they will be worth millions in a few years.

  5. :D Funny Stuff about the sediments, especially since I'm a geologist. I'll have to say that as a corny joke at work.

I would also like to add that I really thought that post by Bahger was was overly arrogant, harsh and filled with baseless assumptions. Why do you blame BF so much for releasing the game in its current state, they HAD to by contract. Why are you rubbing how crappy the game is in their face? has their post-release support for the game been sub-par in any way? If not, why throw around so many negative vibes. be cool

  6. I think having dead soldiers greyed out would be an awesome idea. I've found myself trying to figure out if a group might have lost a man while I wasnt looking or the group always had those weapons and number of men. I dont think red would be a good color because the color red is used to highlight soldiers that are severly wounded and in need of medical attention. Leaving dead soldiers in the list in any form would be an improvement though, it really helps to know what you have lost.

  7. I like cheese ....

seriously though, I could see how CM games could become mostly a pirated titles, but most people I know wouldnt spend their time downloading it even if they could get it free. Its sad that people need flashing lights and super fantastic visuals to make them think they will like a game. I wish I could force CM on a bunch of PC gamers and then get their opinions after a month or so.
