  1. HEY watch it buddy I am Death from Above! [ July 03, 2003, 06:54 PM: Message edited by: Screaming Flea ]
  2. No WAY would I buy LGAA without first playing a demo....... I have spent altogether too much mullah on complete Napoleonic turkeys to do so again without a demo.... gotta have a DEMO.
  3. Have they got any special spotting/stealthy movement bonuses the Rifle platoons don't have?? [ July 03, 2003, 06:45 PM: Message edited by: Screaming Flea ]
  4. Esteemed all, Can anybody tell me what settings I should use to get a "spread" of experience for QB's?? It seems that all QB's are based on a a twofold experience setting... Conscript-Green Green-Regular Regular-Veteran Veteran-Crack... If I want a couple of Green inf "scout" units , but would like to use a base of Regular or Veteran troops , how can I set it up
  5. I beg to differ. They are Napoleonics LITE to be sure. When a battalion of Prussian Landwehr can deploy into skirmish order en masse, there is something terribly wrong. There are more inaccuracies, but I don't want to waste the energy required to remember them. Lastly, it is a RTS game. A clickfest where unreal events take place at an unreal pace. I LOVE Napoleonics (& CM) and I sold my copy of their first offering two weeks after I bought it. Yet, I won't deny anyone their fun. If that is the sort of thing you like, by all means go for it. </font>
  6. On one occasion I actually felt for the enemy. I was playing the Germs in a really good defensive position. I had one of those concrete bunkers with 3 MG's in it (you know the ones). Anywho the Sovs with a HUGE inf force decided to attack up thru an extensive barbed wire entanglement I had set up,right smack dab in the kill zone of the bunker. You can imagine the ensuing carnage , dear oh dear. There musta been 200 guys trying to get thru the wire. They were being killed wholesale. It was all I could do in the end to bring up a flame unit and incinerate maybe the 60 remaining die hards on the wire. I think the few survivors are still running back to the Kremlin... URAAA!
  7. Ok , how about a certain recently deposed Iraqi Dictator as the "Last Great Frenchman"..
  8. Breakaways "Waterloo; Napoleons Last Battle and "Austerlitz; Napoleons Greatest Victory are terrific realtime Napoleonic Wargames. The fanatical level of attention to detail approaches that of CM games. If you have ever played Sid Meiers Gettysburg! well they are similar to that but with vastly more depth, detail and colour. cheers, Flea.
