With all this talk of cannons' "attitude", I'm curious why no modelling of how a Challenger's gun angles upward after firing? (Is this the case with the Abrams too? I forget. I know the Leopard 2's gun elevates after firing.)
Abrams's gun doesnt do that, since it doesnt have an autoloader. Generally it will go back to neutral position, so the loader can load the next round. if the gun stays depressed, its impossible to manually load

As far as Afghanistan game, I wish I could be involved, but my work schedule would not allow it. My wife is already complaining about how much time I spend on modding CMSF

I am thinking about updating my PC soon, and was thinking about getting Nvidia 8800 GT or 9800 GT. Are there a lot of people having problems running CMSF who own those cards?

How about this idea for CoPlay
Player 1: Has control of ground forces
Player 2: has control of Arty and Air assets
They can both communicate via headsets, and coordinate fires

Yeah, well it's definitely not something that you need to simulate on the CM battlefield.
My bottomline is; would it be fair to assume that a US army battalion has some kind of organic short range ADA capability and that there are long range ADA assets at brigade level?
(Bear in mind - this is just for the operational level of a meta campaign...)

They could have Stinger Bradley with them, or attached ADA platoon, or some MANPAD crews. They would not have any organic ADA weapons
