I played this one a while back PBEM. As the Allies I had great luck with the 150mm - it just kept falling off target by miles - my opponent was pulling his hair out - happy days

You're buying the game now? What changed your mind?Originally posted by Kellysheroes:I really hope we are able to adjust the control setup. Cause I got the feeling I am going to be using Right Mouse Click for PAUSE a lot. I really hate real time games and that word PAUSE! It just doesn't make sense. If you're gonna pause it why not make it "turn based" to begin with? Then it pauses all the time orderly fashioned like.
To quote:
This game is going to be missing tooooo much out of the box to be worthy of retail purchase.
I bet this game is just another kiddie click fest movie watching game.
Sounds like an unfinished game to me being rushed out the door for the $$, then in each future sequel maybe adding more of what is wanted in the first place at an added cost of same retail prices. But, just like all other games it has NICE GRAPHICS. Once again this is one of those wait for the sequel and get everything that should have been in the first game. Graphics or no, it's just unfinished.

Why not play it on a paper map with cardboard counters?

Is that the reason you do your slagging off of CM:SF on the Wargamer forums?Originally posted by Kellysheroes:Ever notice how the veterans are sort of snobbish and cold hearted? They act like they own the place or something. I really think they should leave the moderating to the moderator(s) and just discuss the topic...not the people who write them.

That's more like it for the Sherman - thanks Jim.

Nice!

Apprently the Mark 1 Tank from WW1 had a turning circle of 18m - which was a real pain - well it would be! I do not believe the Sherman was worse than the first ever tank

Thanks for that - that seem a much more "believable" figure.Originally posted by M Hofbauer:not saying it is THE TRUTH, but just as a heads up this is from the official US Army CSOI 1944

British and American Tanks of World War Two, The Complete Illustrated History of British, American, and Commonwealth Tanks 1933-1945, Peter Chamberlain and Chris Ellis, 1969
- Contains absolutely no info on turning circles!

And I was just about to reveal the password to the secret FAQOriginally posted by Dark Knight:K, any suggestions on what to search for? "Differences between CMx2 and Theatre of War"?
For a group of seemingly smart guys you really do relish the act of acting like douches. Why not just answer my questions so that I can be on my way?

Info is sparse. From what I can gather the Sherman had a Cletrac type system. The listed differences of turning circle between the Sherman and T34\Panther etc. is incredible - makes you wonder how they steered through those tight Normandy villages!Originally posted by Michael Dorosh:Of these, what kind of steering did the Sherman have?
This site lists turning circle as 19m and lists this as it's source(!):
Panzer Truppen The Complete Guide to the Creation and Combat Employment of Germany's Tank Force 1943-1945, Thomas L. Jentz, 1996
although I suspect they mean this:
British and American Tanks of World War Two, The Complete Illustrated History of British, American, and Commonwealth Tanks 1933-1945, Peter Chamberlain and Chris Ellis, 1969
I will check this one when I get home.

You are wrong - he is a well known troll - whose only mission is to spread misinformation. His only real expertise is in the field of hot Russian chicks (naked).

As all artillery is off map do we have a FO unit on map - or is it called in by normal units?
