  1. I have the original manuals for both CM:BO and CM:BB. I've recently purchased the Special Edition versions of both (before the bundle was offered..oops, didn't see that coming...). The manuals accompanying the SE versions are about 1/3rd smaller in overall dimensions and the font sizes are accordingly smaller. The CM:BO SE manual fell apart the day I received the game  , so I threw it away after I checked it against the original and found no changes. The manual that came with the CM:BB SE version seems to be of higher quality (though smaller, as previously noted). I haven't noticed any difference in terms of content in either set.
  2. Couldn't agree more with the quality, or lack of, rather, in a lot games. I was one of those poor suckers that snatched up Ghost Recon when it first came out..talk about pure frustration! Even after all the "patches" and "fixes" from UBI, I ended up saying to hell with it and deleted the thing from my PC. Now, please understand that CMBO and CMBB frustrate the hell out me as well, but in a good way. .in that these games are so well made that my frustration is a function/result of my tactical ineptitude  ...NOT due to game bugs.

  4. Pcelt, You are welcome, I hope that your install is/was successful
  5. What I've found that works for me (after numerous trial and error) is to use the "Add or Remove Programs" option found in Control Panel to remove the old drivers, then delete any NVIDIA folders remaining. Reboot. Make sure you cancel any Windows attempts to automatically install the new drivers, you want to install the new drivers manually, then reboot and adjust your settings as you see fit.
  6. Thanks for the tip about the drivers, that's what fixed it. I worked my way up to 2.3. Any version above that, and the anomolies kicked in again. Thanks once again.
  7. Using an ATI Radeon 7500, latest ATI drivers, Windows XP OS, 512 RAM, Compaq Presario 5BW284. During game play, once I hit the go button, the "computer thinking" bar will go completley white, as will the blue bar in the Global info screen. When I select a unit, the Vehicle/Heavy weapons icon and the movie controls/time counter will white out both during the actual move and when I replay. If I move off the selected unit, the white out goes away. This is not consistent, but happens often enough to be annoying. [ March 12, 2003, 09:14 AM: Message edited by: 1st Shirt ]
