  1. Thanks Moon I did just that but that didn't work. I did however reinstall over the firts install and then got the license setup this time and all is working. I did that though with my Anti-Virus and Firewall disabled. Maybe that did the trick. Thanks again, Gian
  2. Hello I managed to redownload the game and managed to get it installed this time. But when I try and configure it I get the rts.dll not loaded. I dod look at the e-license FAQ but cannot seem to get it fixed. I don't have any license services running. I cannot even start it as it is not there at all. How does the offline license thing work or hown can I re-install the license services? Thanks, Gian
  3. Hello I downloaded the game and when I click on the setup file a quick DOS box appears but bothing happens then. I am admin and I am using Win XP. I have disabled Norton INternet Security, don the Data Excecution steps as in the FAQ bit it just would not launch thes setup. Any ideas? Anyone else have the same issue. The file seems to be whole and the size looks right. Thanks, Gian
  4. Hello I can seen thta allot of new features have been introduced. I just want to check if we will also have a mission builder included for added replayability. Sorry if this has been asked before, just double checking. Thanks, Gian
  5. Gian

    May I ask....

Thanks for the reponse guys and especially Rune coming in to clarify. I really do sincerely hope that a Skirmish or something like that effect would be able to be added at some stage or as somene here said to randomize the XML file stats so that it at least give us the ability to purchase forces to play on existing maps. I am sure there will be quite of few of those anyway. It does remind me of Blitzkrieg though which I loved so much and still do but I could just never figure out why so many companies are never thinking how important Skirmish is for replayability. THat feature is what I usewd most in Combat Mission. But I will definately picked this one up Skirmish or no Skirmish. I just hope it was designed with moddability in mind. Thanks, Gian
  6. After having played almost every WW2 game in existance, I have to say the this one looks particularly sweet. I love tanks and I really have to say that the graphics in the game looks great, with what seems to be a free camera to admire all the action is a big bonus as well. The realism also will be a blessing as I would love to keep Russian tanks at bay with a lonely King Tiger. I do want to ask however, if there would be some replayability built in to this game, that is some kind of Skirmish or free fight mode where you can choose forces and reinforcments and then a randomly generated map and just have a great battle. I really do hope that somehting is planned like that. Also may I ask if you will have different variants of the same tanks available like Panther A, D and G and Henschel and Porche King Tigers, and maybe the early, mid and late Tiger 1's. Will these be different camo schemes as well for the same types, ie Winter, summer, Autumn etc? Thanks for letting me know and I simply cannot wait. Regards, Gian
  7. Wow, Moon!!!!! That is great thanks Keep em coming!!!! Regards, Gian
  8. I would agree with the rating. It is unfortunate, it feels almost unfinished as if this might be a test for something better in the future. There is just so much missing. The 3d models lack so much detail escpecially the T-72 and the game is about that tank right? Aslo Battlefront is synonymous with one of the best mission editors I have ever seen in a game in their Combat Mission games. Easy to use but advanced features as well. Why not have something like that in the game? I am not a game developer and I don't want a degree to develope a simple mission. Why do so many developers get it wrong? I know we have to be clued up with computers but cmon'!!! Oh well, unless we see mods soon, which it is very quite at the moment, then I don't know how long this flame will keep burning. I want this game to work, I am a big tank fan, but we need more in this day and age. The game is simply too skinny. My five cents. Gian
  9. Hi Moon THis is a very cool map. Could we have some more desert missions? Maybe a bit more spaced out whereby you drive for a while picking of weak infantry on the way to a climatic armored battle or securing of a facility or something? Maybe in the T-55, almost a mission like the movie The Beast? Thanks, Gian
  10. Hi I would love custom skins and anything else we can fit into the game. Anyone? We need to start craking on mods. Cheers, Gian
  11. MMm. I still think that the better models could be introduced with minimal performance loss. I certainly hope we will see some in the near future.
  12. aha I was looking for it till my eye were red, now I know it is not there
  13. An upgraded or updated T-72 3D Model Sorry just had to. Ability to add upgrades to tank via upgrade screen. Prestige points to be able to purchase upgrades
  14. Mmm. somehow I really don;t think that those small extras would make such a big difference to frame rates at all
  15. Check what I have found: http://www.grime.net/facets/models/t72a.htm Also there are a few other T-72 variant models in the side menu. Now, I wonder how many polygons the existing model uses compared to this on for example. Cheers [ July 20, 2005, 07:24 AM: Message edited by: Gian ]
  16. What program would I need to play with the ingame model? Also where is the ingame model stored? Thanks, Gian
  17. Mmm... Also thought it might be an A variant.
  18. Any agree? Please give us a upgraded T-72 tank model......
  19. Hi Moon I was wondering how moddable this game is. Will it be possable for modders to tweak the 3D models etc. As you mentioned that Battlefront will release an add-on tank is this the only way will will get new tank models? I was just wondering as I have really high hopes for this game but I really want a more detailed T-72 model. Missing bin on side of turret, no gunners' sight on top of turret ect, no exhaust, incorrectly textured side skirts. I don't want to sound like a pain, but look at flight sims that is out there, everyone is striving for the most accurate 3D models and why should our beloved tank sims be any different. I simpy love to see my tank fire a shot from the external view as it kicks up dust and the gin recoils, amazing!!!!!! Anyway, I know I posted before about things missing from the model and I know it is just eye candy really, but it would be nice as the game already looks great, I would just like those few extras on my tank models. (t-72 in particular) And hey if you don't ask you don't get Please advise. Thanks, Gian
  20. What do the following mean? BPS OFS BKS UR P Thank, Gian
  21. Hi I have admired the graphics and the game since i got it a few days ago. I did after close inspection discover that there is allot of inacurracies regarding the T-72B model. Not a big deal but I thought I'd point them out. 1) Smoke dispensers are to vertical, they should lean forward a bit more. 2) Where is the gunners' TPD-K1 sight on the left hand side of the turret? There is nothing there. 3) No visible exhaust modeled 4) Wheels have 8 indentations instead of the newer six as fitted to the B model. T-72 model is a small bit disappointing. What about optional fuel tanks etc. Maybe more camo schemes? Models with different variations of skirt armor would be cool and of course the different reactive armor packages would be brilliant. I know the game has been out for a short while but I really hope that we will see some cool mods soon escpecially more variations of the T-72. It would be great to have some kind of interface whereby you can choose some upgrades for your tank maybe after earning some reputation points ect. Anyway my hope rides on mods for this game. I really hope that it takes of and that we will see modders interested to take it to an even higher level. It is the first new tank sim out for a long, long time and I hope we see this baby become the monster that it really should be. Your thoughts are welcome, Gian [ July 17, 2005, 11:53 AM: Message edited by: Gian ]
